Hi Whitney, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Our story began with a shared love for creativity, content creation, and helping businesses tell their stories online. Before starting Simple Social Marketing Agency, we were both building experience in social media, marketing, photography, and content creation. As we continued growing in our careers, we kept coming back to the same question: Why not build something of our own?
Taking that leap felt exciting and intimidating. We started small, worked hard to earn the trust of our first clients, and learned a great deal as we went. Much of our growth has come through referrals, relationships, and clients who believed in what we were building.
Today, we run Simple Social Marketing Agency together as a husband-and-wife team. We work with businesses and nonprofit organizations across several industries, helping them create intentional content, develop their online presence, and connect with the people they want to reach. Our services have grown to include social media management, photography, videography, email marketing, and more.
We have also been intentional about remaining a small, hands-on agency. We want every client to feel known, supported, and confident that we genuinely care about their business. Reggie brings a strong eye for photography, operations, and strategy, while I focus heavily on creative direction, content ideas, writing, and overall brand development. Our different strengths complement each other and have played an important role in our growth.
Building a business together has required faith, sacrifice, long days, and a willingness to take risks before we felt completely ready. Looking back, we are incredibly proud of how far we have come. What began as an idea has grown into a business that allows us to work together, travel, meet inspiring people, and help brands bring their visions to life.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not always been a smooth road, but we have learned to take each challenge as it comes. Life will always present you with something unexpected, and owning a business is no different. There are seasons of uncertainty, long days, difficult decisions, and moments when things do not go according to plan.
What matters most is how you choose to respond. We try not to let setbacks stop us. We adjust, learn from the experience, and keep moving forward. Some of our biggest challenges have helped us grow, both as business owners and as a couple.
We have learned that you may not always be able to control what happens, but you can control the attitude and effort you bring to it. Our approach has always been to go with it, keep pushing through, and trust that each challenge is preparing us for what comes next.

Simple Social Marketing Agency is a Tennessee-based social media marketing company that helps businesses and organizations show up confidently and consistently online. We work with clients across a wide range of industries, including hospitality, restaurants, retail, wellness, healthcare, counseling and nonprofit organizations.
We specialize in full-service social media management. We handle strategy, content planning, photography, short-form video, graphic design, caption writing, scheduling and posting. Our goal is to take social media off the business owner’s plate while creating content that feels polished, intentional and true to their brand.
While we are based in Tennessee, our work takes us far beyond our home state. We travel to clients throughout the region and even fly to Houston every three months to produce an entire quarter’s worth of content for clients there. We love being able to step into a business, understand its people and personality, and create a strong library of content that can be used strategically over time.
What sets us apart is the level of personal attention we give each client. We have intentionally remained a small, hands-on agency, which allows our clients to work directly with us as the owners. We take the time to understand each business, its goals and the audience it wants to reach. We do not use the same approach for every account because every brand has its own voice, story and purpose.
Reggie brings a strong background in photography, content creation, operations and strategy, while I focus on creative direction, brand development, writing and content ideas. Our strengths complement one another and allow us to approach each brand from both a creative and strategic perspective.
We are most proud of the trust and long-term relationships we have built with our clients. Many of them view us as an extension of their team, and that is exactly how we want it to feel. We care deeply about the businesses we represent, and we want every client to feel known, supported and confident in the content we are creating for them.
We want readers to know that social media does not have to feel overwhelming. Business owners already carry so much, and our job is to take this responsibility off their plate while helping them stay visible, connect with their audience and share what makes their business worth knowing.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Our biggest cheerleaders have been the friends and family who have supported us throughout every stage of building the business. Two of those supporters are fellow business owners, Advisual Studio and Sutton Photographs. They understand the work, uncertainty and responsibility that come with entrepreneurship, and their encouragement, collaboration and friendship have meant so much to us.
We are also incredibly grateful for the friends and family members who have continued to believe in us, celebrate our wins and support us through the more difficult seasons.
Owning a business takes a great deal of hard work, and there will always be moments when you question yourself or feel overwhelmed. Having people in your corner who remind you why you started, encourage you to keep going and genuinely want to see you succeed makes a lasting difference. We are very fortunate to have that kind of support around us.
