Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Kobeissi.
Hi Adam, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My path into real estate media is rooted in curiosity, calculated risk, and a relentless commitment to growth.
My story begins in 2019 with the purchase of my first professional-grade drone. What started as a fascination with aerial visuals quickly turned into a creative obsession. Long before that investment, I had already developed a passion for capturing moments—filming family trips, documenting outdoor adventures, and even shooting action footage during my kitesurfing phase, where I eventually became a kitesurfing instructor. The drone simply took everything to another level—both literally and professionally. Within a year of flying, I made a pivotal decision: turn a hobby into a business.
While working full-time in engineering, I earned my FAA drone pilot license and launched Kobe Aerial, marking my first step into entrepreneurship. Not long after, an unexpected opportunity came through a family connection in real estate who asked if I could photograph a rental property. The results, by my own standards, weren’t great—but instead of discouraging me, it exposed a gap in my skillset and pushed me to improve.
From that point on, I invested heavily in learning the craft. I purchased my first camera and wide-angle lens and committed to hands-on experience by offering over a dozen free shoots. That period became the foundation of my growth—refining composition, understanding lighting, and learning how to capture spaces in a way that actually resonates with buyers and agents.
By 2021, what started as experimentation evolved into a formal business: Kobe Photography LLC, now rebranded as Kobe Media. Throughout that time, I balanced a demanding engineering career with nights and weekends dedicated to shooting, editing, and delivering content. It wasn’t easy, but it allowed me to steadily build both my portfolio and reputation.
In 2025, after years of disciplined effort, I made the transition to full-time entrepreneurship. Today, I operate not only as a media business owner but also as an active Houston realtor, bringing over three years of real estate experience into my work. That dual perspective has become one of my biggest strengths—I don’t just create content, I understand how it fits into the broader strategy of selling, marketing, and positioning a property or brand.
Kobe Media now represents more than photography and video. It’s a strategic media company focused on helping real estate professionals, developers, and service-based businesses elevate their presence through high-quality, intentional content. My journey reflects an industry shift where creativity alone isn’t enough—it has to be paired with strategy, consistency, and execution.
From a single drone flight to building a full-scale media brand, my story is really about learning, adapting, and staying committed long enough for things to compound.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest challenges in my journey was developing as a videographer while still working a demanding full-time engineering job. There was no clean transition or extra time carved out for me—I had to build everything around an already full schedule.
My Fridays were usually half workdays, so I would go straight from my engineering role into shooting. Saturdays became full production days, often packed with multiple properties or client shoots back-to-back. There wasn’t much room for flexibility—if I didn’t shoot on those days, I’d fall behind.
The real test came during the weekdays. After a full day of engineering work, I would come home and shift into editing mode. Those evenings often stretched late into the night. It wasn’t uncommon to be working on footage, refining edits, and delivering projects well past normal hours, all with the goal of maintaining a turnaround time of one week or less.
That schedule required a different level of discipline. There were moments of mental fatigue, times where creativity had to be forced after long workdays, and periods where balancing personal life, work, and business felt overwhelming. But those constraints also built efficiency—I had to learn how to shoot with intention, edit faster, and manage my time with precision.
Looking back, that phase was critical. It wasn’t just about gaining experience behind the camera—it was about proving to myself that I could operate at a high level under pressure. It taught me consistency, resilience, and how to deliver regardless of circumstances.
It definitely wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. That period of working nights and weekends laid the foundation for everything I’ve built today.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Kobe Media / www.kobemediahouton.com?
Kobe Media, formerly known as Kobe Photography, is a Houston-based real estate and business media agency focused on helping properties and brands stand out in an increasingly competitive digital landscape.
At its core, Kobe Media specializes in high-quality listing content for both residential and commercial real estate. This includes professional ground photography, aerial imagery, and cinematic video tours captured from both traditional and drone perspectives. The goal is simple: create visually compelling content that not only showcases a property, but helps it perform, whether that means attracting more buyers, generating stronger engagement, or elevating an agent’s brand.
Beyond listings, Kobe Media has expanded into content creation for real estate professionals, developers, and service-based businesses. From long-form video to short-form social media content, the company helps clients build a consistent and strategic online presence. This includes branded content, marketing campaigns, and ad-focused media designed to drive visibility and results in today’s fast-moving digital space.
One of the areas Kobe Media is particularly known for is its use of advanced drone work, including FPV drone fly-throughs that provide a dynamic, immersive perspective of properties and spaces. These types of visuals go beyond standard marketing, they create an experience for the viewer.
What sets Kobe Media apart is the combination of media expertise and real estate insight. As an active Houston realtor, I bring an understanding of the market, buyer psychology, and what actually drives conversions. Every project is approached with that in mind, this isn’t just content for the sake of content; it’s content with a purpose.
From a brand standpoint, what I’m most proud of is the evolution. What started as a side hustle has grown into a full-scale media company built on consistency, adaptability, and results. The rebrand from Kobe Photography to Kobe Media reflects that growth—not just in services, but in vision.
For readers, the biggest takeaway is this: Kobe Media is more than a photography service. It’s a creative partner for businesses and professionals who want to elevate how they present themselves, tell their story, and ultimately grow their brand through intentional, high-quality content.
How do you think about luck?
Luck has played a role but not in the way people usually think.
There have been moments that could be considered “good luck,” like being introduced to opportunities through people in my network, such as my first real estate shoot through a family connection. But those moments only mattered because I was willing to act on them, even when I wasn’t fully prepared. In fact, that first opportunity didn’t go well at all, but it exposed a gap and pushed me to improve.
On the other side, what some might call “bad luck” often showed up as challenges; tight schedules, slow periods, and the reality of building a business while working full-time. Those moments forced me to become more disciplined, more efficient, and more intentional with how I approached both my craft and my time.
I’ve come to see luck more as timing meeting preparation. The more consistent I became, the more I put myself out there, and the more I refined my skills, the more those “lucky” opportunities seemed to appear.
I’d also be remiss not to acknowledge the role my wife played in this journey. Having her support and the stability of her corporate career gave me the ability to take the leap into my business full-time sooner and with more confidence. Entrepreneurship often looks like an individual pursuit from the outside, but in reality, it’s built on a strong support system behind the scenes.
So while luck has had its moments, the foundation of everything I’ve built has been consistency, effort, and the willingness to keep improving regardless of the circumstances.
