Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Jones.
Hi Allison, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my journey in the wellness industry in 2021 when I became a Licensed Massage Therapist. Like many entrepreneurs, I started small with a big vision and a passion for helping people feel better in their bodies. Over the years, I continued investing in advanced training, specializing in myofascial release, somatic work, manual lymphatic drainage, FaceLifting, and holistic wellness approaches that focus on the connection between the body, mind, and nervous system.
I later graduated from esthetics school in 2026, expanding my knowledge of skin health and opening the door to integrating healing touch with skincare.
What began as a passion for helping people relieve physical tension has evolved into a practice centered around helping clients reconnect with themselves, slow down, and feel supported in a world that often encourages constant hustle and burnout. My work is rooted in the belief that true wellness goes beyond appearance it’s about how we feel, move, and show up in our daily lives
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
When I started my business, I was working long hours, saying yes to everything, and trying to figure things out as I went. Like many entrepreneurs, I experienced periods of burnout, self-doubt, financial stress, and wondering if I was making the right decisions.
One of the biggest challenges was building a business while continuing my education and expanding my skill set. I became a licensed massage therapist first, then went back to school for esthetics because I knew I wanted to offer a more comprehensive approach to wellness and skin health. Balancing school, clients, and running a business at the same time required a lot of discipline and sacrifice.
There were also challenges that people don’t always see behind the scenes. Rebranding my business, investing in advanced training and equipment, navigating slow seasons, learning healthy boundaries with clients, and figuring out how to create a business that was sustainable without completely burning myself out.
Over time, I realized success wasn’t just about working harder. It was about working smarter, trusting my intuition, staying true to my values, and creating services that genuinely reflected who I am and how I want to help people.
Every challenge taught me something valuable, and looking back, those struggles shaped both the practitioner and business owner I’ve become today.
As you know, we’re big fans of Honey Soul Skin & Massage. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
Honey Soul Skin & Massage is a holistic wellness practice that blends massage therapy, esthetics, and somatic-based care into a unique approach that focuses on both the body and nervous system.
I specialize in reconstructive face-lifting massage, intra-oral buccal massage, facial myofascial release, abdominal lymphatic sculpting, head spa treatments, and intuitive bodywork. My work is rooted in the belief that tension, stress, and our life experiences can become stored within the body, and that healing often happens when we create space for the body to soften, regulate, and restore itself naturally.
What sets my practice apart is that I don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or following the same routine for every client, I customize each session based on what I feel the client’s body is asking for that day. My background in massage therapy, esthetics, somatic practices, facial reflexology, lymphatic work, and myofascial techniques allows me to approach wellness from multiple angles.
One thing I’m particularly known for is my facial work. Many people are surprised to learn that I work both externally and intra-orally through the mouth to release deep tension patterns that traditional facials often don’t address. My clients frequently seek me out when they want a natural, hands-on alternative to more invasive treatments.
What I’m most proud of brand-wise is creating a space that feels welcoming, genuine, and judgment-free. My goal has never been to build a luxury spa experience that feels intimidating or exclusive. Instead, I’ve worked hard to create a space where people can show up exactly as they are, feel supported, and receive care that honors both their physical and emotional well-being.
At the heart of Honey Soul Skin & Massage is the belief that healing doesn’t always have to be forceful or complicated. Sometimes the most powerful results come from slowing down, listening to the body, and giving it the support it needs to do what it was designed to do.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
There are several ways people can work with and support me.
Locally, clients can book one-on-one sessions at Honey Soul Skin & Massage, where I offer massage therapy, facial massage, head spa treatments, lymphatic sculpting, and holistic skin and wellness services. Every session is personalized to the individual, so no two appointments are exactly alike.
Beyond the treatment room, I’m passionate about education, travel, and community. I love connecting with other wellness professionals, small business owners, content creators, and brands that align with my values. I’m always open to collaborations, speaking opportunities, wellness events, partnerships, and creative projects that help bring holistic wellness to more people.
I also offer mobile chair massage pop-up events and community fundraisers. One of my favorite projects was a chair massage fundraiser that raised $430 for the Polk County Humane Society. Giving back has always been important to me, and I plan to continue using my skills to support causes that matter. In the near future, I hope to organize another fundraiser to help support family members and communities in the Philippines who were impacted by a major earthquake.
As a travel advisor and group trip host, I also help women step outside their comfort zones through meaningful travel experiences and hosted group adventures.
The biggest way people can support my business is by sharing my work, referring friends and family, engaging with my content online, and continuing to support small businesses in their local communities. Every referral, share, recommendation, and kind word truly makes a difference and helps me continue doing what I love.
I want people to know that whether someone books a session, attends a future event, joins a trip, collaborates on a project, or simply follows along on my journey, I genuinely appreciate the support and connection. My mission has always been bigger than providing a service it’s about helping people feel better, building meaningful relationships, and finding ways to make a positive impact both locally and beyond.
