Inspiring Conversations with Ana Maria Cattani of Ana Mindful Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ana Maria Cattani

Hi Ana Maria, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Thanks so much for having me! I’m originally from Ecuador, where I earned a degree in Finance and spent a few years working in the banking industry. However, life took me on a different path, leading me to where I am today.

My wellness journey began nearly 20 years ago when I moved to the United Arab Emirates with my husband and two young kids. Adjusting to life abroad was a transformative experience, and it was during this time that I discovered yoga and meditation. These practices quickly became cornerstones of balance and resilience in my life. Inspired by the wisdom and passion of my teachers, I deepened my practice and eventually earned my Yoga Teacher Certifications (RYT-200 RCYT).

In 2011, after relocating to Houston, I began teaching yoga to adults and children. As my practice evolved, I became more in tune with my body and noticed how food and lifestyle choices directly impacted my well-being. This awareness fueled a natural shift toward healthier living and a desire to explore nutrition and wellness more deeply.

I went on to earn my Health Coach Certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), specializing in hormone health for women navigating perimenopause and menopause. I believe this transformative phase deserves compassion, support, and knowledge to empower women through the changes and challenges it brings. With lifespans extending well into our eighties and beyond, menopause isn’t an end—it’s the start of a vibrant new chapter. Thriving through this time is possible and entirely within reach with the right tools and mindset.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Running your own business is rarely a smooth journey. It requires self-belief and the resolve to wake up every morning feeling motivated to keep moving forward. In the early days, all my clients came through word of mouth, which I still find incredibly rewarding. But in today’s social media-driven world, sharing my knowledge and allowing myself to be vulnerable online has been a real challenge. Still, I firmly believe that stepping out of our comfort zones is where true growth happens.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
As an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, my mission is to empower women through perimenopause and menopause, helping them become the best versions of themselves. I offer several programs tailored to support this journey:

One-on-One Coaching: I work closely with my clients in private sessions to understand their unique concerns and goals. Together, we address all aspects of health—including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and sleep hygiene—so they can reach their wellness goals holistically.

Thriving Through Menopause: Launching in 2025, this group program will provide essential knowledge and tools to navigate the changes and challenges of perimenopause/ menopause. Each participant will also receive one individual coaching session with me for personalized guidance and support.

Kitchen Clean-Out: This program teaches clients how to read nutrition labels, look for better ingredients, and cook with whole foods. During an in-home session, we review the pantry, fridge, and freezer, identifying healthier swaps to support their wellness journey.

Detox Programs: My 5-Day Whole Foods Detox is designed to help clients feel energized and revitalized without sacrificing real food. It’s a gentle, supportive way to reset and refresh.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Some of my favorite childhood memories are of summers spent on my grandma’s farm in Ecuador. I loved being outdoors, climbing trees, riding horses, milking cows, and swimming in the river with my brother and cousins. Those days nurtured a deep appreciation for nature and the healing power of being outside. Even now, I love spending time outdoors, whether walking in the park, hiking, or simply sitting in the sunshine. It helps me feel grounded, energized, and connected to my well-being.
