Today we’d like to introduce you to Antonia Jones.
Hi Antonia, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I began my nursing career in 1995, but in many ways, my life has always been centered around caring for people. From an early age, I was taught that service, compassion, family, and community matter—and that foundation has guided every step of my journey.
Over the years, I worked my way up from the ground level of healthcare—starting as a medical assistant and now serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner—gaining experience across med-surg, skilled nursing, hospice, urgent care, community health, occupational health, and ultimately concierge and telehealth medicine.
Along the way, I became increasingly disheartened by how often people delay or avoid care altogether due to cost, demanding schedules, cultural or social barriers, lack of insurance, limited access, or negative past experiences within traditional healthcare systems. That growing awareness, combined with years of supporting community-focused initiatives, ultimately led to what I like to call a “mustard seed” moment.
I’ve had various “mustard seed” moments, but a pivotal moment in my career occurred after volunteering in Peru. Confronted with limited and rationed medical supplies, I found myself having to tell patients I couldn’t offer certain treatment options I had long taken for granted in the United States. That experience opened my eyes to the profound advantages we often overlook and deepened my resolve to do more. I felt a strong calling to expand both my scope of practice and my impact, which led me to enroll in a Nurse Practitioner residency in New Jersey. It was there that the TNT “mustard seed” was planted—and where I met my business partner, Dr. Tessaneka Hill. From the start, the alignment felt divinely orchestrated. We shared the same values, ethics, passion, and drive; it truly felt like looking in a mirror. At our core, we both live to elevate people—an embedded trait, or perhaps a shared gift we carry.
Tess and I often chuckle about how TNT Med Services quite literally began over a cup of coffee and a long conversation about how healthcare could be done better—more accessible, more compassionate, and more affordable for people who fall through the cracks of conventional care. We never imagined that conversation would grow into a multistate telehealth practice, but here we are—serving patients with a model rooted in purpose, personalization, and prevention.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Absolutely not—it has been anything and everything but smooth. The road has been long, rocky, winding, filled with steep mountains, thorns, and valleys, but in the same breath evolving, enlightening, and fulfilling. I often hear my grandmother Irene’s voice reminding me that nothing in life is fair and no one owes you anything—not even family; so, every act should be from the heart without expectations or not at all. She was a pillar in the community, and her examples instilled in me the value of hard work, service, and purpose from a very young age.
Some of our biggest challenges have been navigating insurance credentialing, regulatory red tape, and building an administrative and sales team that could match our passion while keeping pace with our evolving vision. When you work in a hospital or clinic, so much happens behind the scenes—as a provider you show up, care for patients, and someone else handles the operations.
As a small business owner, you are everything: the provider, the administrator, the biller, the marketer, and the visionary. Balancing all of those roles while staying grounded in patient care has been one of our greatest challenges—but also one of our greatest growth opportunities.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about TNT Med Services?
TNT Med Services is a concierge-style, multistate telehealth practice designed to meet patients where they are—literally and figuratively. We focus on identifying and addressing the root causes of medical conditions rather than simply managing symptoms. Our goal is to provide care that is intentional, individualized, affordable, and sustainable.
We specialize in accessible primary care, urgent care services, chronic disease management, weight management, and preventive health, with an emphasis on convenience, discretion, and relationship-based medicine. We are also actively addressing the opioid crisis by providing compassionate, medication-assisted treatment programs for opioid addiction, including Suboxone as part of a comprehensive recovery approach.
Our platform serves working professionals with limited availability, families seeking flexible care options, and individuals in underserved or rural areas with limited access to healthcare. We also support patients who value privacy and personalized medical consultations from the comfort of their own space.
What sets TNT Med Services apart is our heart. We lead with empathy, faith, and a genuine desire to uplift. We are not a high-volume, transactional practice—we are relationship-driven and believe in treating our patients like family. Brand-wise, I am most proud that our patients feel seen, heard, and empowered; not just a number.
I want readers to know that TNT Med Services is more than a medical company—it is a movement to restore trust, dignity, and equitable access in healthcare. Our concierge model is not exclusive or elitist; it is purposefully inclusive and designed to serve individuals across all communities and backgrounds.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
I define success by the lasting, positive imprints I leave along the way. Success isn’t about money—it’s about impact. It’s knowing that you helped elevate someone, that you planted a seed of hope, healing, or confidence that will continue to grow and be shared with others.
At its core, TNT Med Services exists to restore humanity to healthcare. We believe access to quality care should never ever depend on income, location, nationality, or a horrible past experience. Tess and I believe healthcare can be both excellent and accessible, thus our model emphasizes compassion, integrity, and root-cause-focused medicine that respects patients’ time, dignity, and individuality.
As we continue to grow across states and services, our commitment remains unchanged—to meet people where they are, empower them to take ownership of their health, and elevate lives one patient, one conversation, and one intentional decision at a time.
So, to me, success isn’t measured by titles or revenue—it’s measured by lives changed. It’s watching small, intentional seeds grow into a thriving garden, where every bloom reflects a barrier broken, a voice restored, or a person empowered to choose their health with dignity. That is the legacy we are building at TNT Med Services—one rooted in compassion, access, and meaningful changes.
