Hi Artina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Pink Salt Chef was created from Chef Artina Lindsey’s passion for making plant-based food both flavorful and accessible. Chef Lindsey built her career across healthcare, corporate dining, education, and plant-based culinary arts before launching the brand. Her goal was to demonstrate that vegan cuisine can be indulgent, culturally relevant, nourishing, and exciting.

The company’s philosophy centers on:

Creating memorable culinary experiences without animal products

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There have been many challenges. Despite the many challenges, Black Americans are among the fastest-growing demographics embracing plant-based eating. Many are motivated by concerns about health disparities such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and obesity, which disproportionately affect Black communities.

For companies like Pink Salt Chef, the opportunity is not simply to sell vegan food. It’s to show that plant-based cuisine can honor cultural traditions, improve health outcomes, increase food accessibility, and celebrate the flavors that already exist within Black and Brown food cultures.
