Hi Babs, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have always been passionate about education way back in Africa, specifically Nigeria. I started tutoring students at age 16 before going into the college/ university. I developed a passion for education in my early years in high school, tutoring my co-students and students in the lesser grades. This resulted in me starting a nongovernmental organization on education in 2001 when I was aged 18, majorly to provide education services to students in the community, develop them, and create sponsorship means. The name of the organization then was Babs Educational Consults {BEC}. We were organizing a Math competition for all students in Lagos, Nigeria, with Special rewards, including cash, laptops, and other consolation prizes.
This later evolved into The Impact Team Africa, expanding our vision into leadership, Education, Advocacy, Communication, and Empowerment.
My constant passion for education led to me founding Babs Impact College, which is a tutorial college in Lagos, Nigeria, where students of all grades undergo preparation for examinations and to improve them academically. This is still running in Lagos, Nigeria.
I relocated to the US in 2021 and decided to run with the same vision; in 2022, I registered Babs Micheal Global Consultancy with the same vision of preparing and helping students in the United States get ahead in class and also better for success in their examinations. This I have been doing by running one-on-one classes, online classes, academic coaching, and executive function coaching. Using the same platform, we also train teachers, business leaders, public speakers, and writers. we also run projects in Nigeria called Campus Challenge, where students in different universities in Nigeria compete via a quiz to win a cash reward of $5000. I was inspired to start this through the Capital One College Bowl in the United States
This is how my story continued even in the United States.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
No successive journey will move on a smooth road; there will always be struggles. One of them is funding. Most times, when entrepreneurs have dreams and visions, the main obstacle is the fund to move it through. I have been able to use personal funding in my setup because I am determined and also have support from individuals in realizing some projects.

This is a consulting firm based in the United States. We provide excellent services in Educational, leadership, and business development services, and in addition, we provide non-profit services to youths in Africa through our extra organization arm known as The Impact Team Africa.

Our trainings are practical and engaging with a lot of success stories. We have graduated a number of entrepreneurs who have started business in their own way, and we are doing a lot with our community services, particularly in Africa, where we provide free tutoring, free school material, free examination registration, and our campus challenge where students win up to $5000
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up was challenging, from struggling to pay school fees to sometimes not having the best footwear, school bad, and the rest, as I was from a humbled background way back in Africa.
