Inspiring Conversations with Bre Johnson of TaxxWiz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bre Johnson.

Hi Bre, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, LA. Bre began as an entrepreneur in high school selling poetry mixtapes to anyone who had an ear for creativity, inspiration and word play. Then in college, Bre began selling t shirts to afford a mission trip with her Fellowship of Christian Athletes group. This creates the entrepreneur you know today. While in college, playing basketball as a D1 athlete and running a clothing brand Bre decided to get a master’s in information technology, learn to code, and break into the tech industry. After receiving a software development job right after college Bre decided in 9 months that corporate wasn’t fitting for her spirit and began direct sales. Earning 6 figures in her first year, become a chairman in the company, and mentoring over 1000 people on entrepreneurship, business, and marketing it became obvious that this was a part of her natural abilities. Leading, Innovating, Inspiring and building communities to equip people for greater. All of these things lead to her ability to become the Chief of Sales for TaxxWiz.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It’s never a smooth road but it’s the road that I’m blessed to take. God has a funny way of using your mess to become the message of your success. I’ve lost money, some ideas work, and some don’t, things fall through but the major key is learning from those things to become and build something greater!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

I believe that as a black woman in this industry I cannot and will not be stopped until TaxxWiz is a household name. Our company has the favor of God and man, and I cannot wait to look back at what we have been able to accomplish” says Johnson.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Mentorship is all about purpose and direction. I love to mentor people who are coachable and teachable but also have done the work to have a sense of where they are going. A mentor is simply to guide you along the process which means you have to take steps and actions. Some of our mentors for our company are billionaires. Thats because we weren’t afraid to ask the question. Those relationships have shifted our company tremendously.

I have many mentors but one of the greatest in my life next to my family has been my pastor, Rod Vargas. Pastor Rod keeps it real. Cutthroat. No sugar coding anything. Being that I am in the business of ministry, I take my calling and assignment serious as what I like to call and evangleprunuer. An evangelist and entrepreneur.

Have a plan and a goal in mind. The right people who contribute to your God given purpose are going to stick out like a sore thumb.
