Today we’d like to introduce you to Cass Moore
Hi Cass, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I transitioned into the insurance industry back in 2019 after spending 5 years in the alcohol industry directly coming out of college. After spending a little over two years as an Account Executive, I was promoted to Sales Manager in The Woodlands Corporate Office during Covid and was fortunate to oversee a team of, up to, 20 Account Executives. In 2023, I made the decision that it would be best to split off from the Corporate side of the business and open my own franchise with Goosehead Insurance. Since launching, we have slowly grown to a Team of 3 people, myself included, and have built out an over $4 million dollar book of business with my sights set on loftier goals of growth as the market continues to adjust in the favor of consumers.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has been far from the smoothest road with my tenure in insurance, but it has been educational each step of the way. At the start, I was embedded in learning all aspects of a real estate transaction to best learn how to be a resource to any realtor, lender, or real estate professional I came in contact with. Once I began to hit my stride, boom, Covid happens and all of our work goes full remote. During this time, we saw a shift in the marketplace and how we, as agents, needed to respond with the shortage of inventory and finding ways to help buyers locate affordable solutions when budgets were being pushed. Following Covid, we are now in one of the hardest markets with enhanced carrier restrictions and product limitations leading to some of the highest insurance costs we’ve seen. All in, I’m grateful for the lessons learned as it has made me the agent I am today and galvanized many of my long standing relationships I have been fortunate to have.
We’ve been impressed with Goosehead Insurance – Cass Moore Agency, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Goosehead Insurance is one of the largest independent insurance agencies in the state of TX which provides our clients with the power of choice while securing their insurance portfolio. While my insurance expertise falls more specifically in Greater Houston and the Galveston Coast, I am fortunate to write for clients all across TX. I am proud to offer a portfolio or products which allows me to write most any home in most any situation. I am also proud of the concierge levels of service we are able to provide our clients. From first interaction to a multi-year relationship, we treat all clients’ with the same and how we invest in them. It is always fun sharing stories of my two boys or learning of my clients becoming first time parents and grandparents.
Within our agency, we want everyone to understand how exactly their assets are being protected and provide a explanation behind each line items and coverage to avoid, unfortunate, surprises. It is of upmost importance, in todays market especially, a consumer be well informed on their decisions to purchase. Advertisements have trained us consumers to focus solely on cost, but we must inform our clients’ of what they are purchasing and how that may financially impact them.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was always involved in sports, mainly baseball and golf, plus extracurriculars which fuels my competitive spirits. I am a proud alumnus to The University of Houston as a member of the Conrad Hilton School of Hotel & Restaurant Management. The Summer of 2010 was a turning point for me as I spent that time on a program called Build America where we spent the summer traveling between different camps building accessibility focused items for kids with disabilities. Build America allowed me to align my priorities, truly understand empathy, and become who I am today, plus I met my, now, wife the following semester! I have always been on the more outgoing side, which allows me to connect with those I am fortunate to connect with today.
