Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassie Dieudonne.
Hi Cassie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Before real estate, I worked for the same company for six years. Then I went on a girls’ trip, and one of the girls was a Realtor and working while we were there. I remember talking to her about it and thinking, “I can do that.” Wildly confident for someone who had no clue what all this job actually involves.
When I got home, I told my husband I wanted to get my real estate license. I took the classes while still working my full-time job, so it took me about six months because I was taking my time and trying not to completely lose my mind balancing both. Once I got licensed, I interviewed with a brokerage, jumped in, and quit the job I’d had for six years. Looking back, it was honestly a pretty risky and ballsy move, especially with kids and real responsibilities. I worked really hard, and thankfully it paid off.
Now here I am 9 years later helping people buy and sell homes all over Katy, TX and surrounding areas, and I can confidently say,it is definitely not as easy as I thought on that girls’ trip. But I’m really glad I took the chance.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Honestly, it’s definitely been up and down. Real estate is a lot harder than people think. From the outside, people see the flexible schedule and the pretty houses, but they don’t see the years of relationship building, the late nights, the constant marketing, or the work it takes to actually build a business and keep clients coming in.
People also don’t realize that being on social media is basically a full-time job in itself now. Creating content, filming videos, answering messages, staying consistent, and constantly showing up online takes a ton of time and energy. But in today’s world, that’s a huge part of how you stay relevant and grow your business.
And then once you get the clients, you’re still learning and navigating an ever-changing market. We’ve been through COVID, crazy storms, shifting interest rates, and markets that changed overnight. There are definitely stressful seasons and moments where you question everything.
But even with all of that, it’s been worth it. I truly love what I do. I love helping people through big life changes, and I love being part of this community. The hard seasons make the wins mean that much more.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cassie Dieudonne, Realtor. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m a real estate agent based in Katy, Texas, and I primarily specialize in helping buyers and sellers in Katy, Fulshear, Cypress, and West Houston. A lot of my clients are families relocating, move-up buyers, or people who want somebody honest that’s going to actually guide them through the process instead of just unlocking doors and sending paperwork.
What I’m probably most known for is my local knowledge and my marketing. I’ve lived in Katy for years, my kids have grown up here, and I’m very involved in the community, so I don’t just sell houses here, I actually live the lifestyle I’m selling. I know the neighborhoods, the schools, the back roads around traffic, the hidden gems, and what makes each area feel different.
I’m also known for my social media and how I market homes differently. Real estate has changed a lot, and the old-school “put it in MLS and pray” strategy just isn’t enough anymore. I put a huge focus on video marketing, social media exposure, neighborhood lifestyle content, and getting homes in front of the right audience online. I’ve built a hyper-local audience that actually cares about Katy-area living, and that’s been a huge advantage for my clients when getting the most eyes on their listings.
I think what sets me apart is that I’m very real with people. I’ll absolutely advocate hard for my clients, but I’m also going to be honest with them. I’m not the agent that’s going to tell you what you want to hear just to get a deal. I think people appreciate having somebody calm, knowledgeable, and straightforward during what can honestly be a pretty emotional and stressful process.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud that people feel connected to it. My brand is very much “local Katy life with a side of sass.” It’s real estate, but it’s also community, local businesses, neighborhood events, restaurants, schools, and what life actually looks like living here. I want people to feel like they already know me before they ever reach out.
At the end of the day, I want people to know that I genuinely care about my clients and this community. My goal is to make the process feel less overwhelming, give people honest guidance, and help them feel confident whether they’re buying, selling, or relocating.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I think one of the biggest qualities that’s contributed to my success is being genuine and building real relationships with people. Real estate is such a relationship-based business, and people want to work with someone they trust, especially during big life changes and stressful situations.
I also think consistency has played a huge role. Showing up every day on social media, staying involved in the community, continuing to market, follow up, and work hard even when the market shifts or things get tough is a huge part of being successful in this business.
And honestly, being straightforward has helped me a lot too. I’m not afraid to have honest conversations or tell clients the truth, even when it’s not always what they want to hear. I think people appreciate having someone calm, knowledgeable, and real in their corner.
