Inspiring Conversations with Christina Letsinger of Sip And Sweets Hibachi

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Letsinger.

Hi Christina, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
How did I get here? Well, my journey really began with a simple desire: I wanted to create something of my own, something my family could be part of, something that could grow into true generational wealth. I didn’t have a roadmap in entrepreneurship. What I had was determination, creativity, and a belief that I could build a space where opportunity lived for all of us.

That belief pushed me to open my first business. Sip and Sweets Daiquiri Bar located in Missouri City, off highway 6. It wasn’t just a business, it was a dream with my fingerprints all over it. For a while, it felt like everything I hoped for was unfolding. But life has a way of testing how bad you want something. After only a year of being open our pipes burst and we flooded, forcing the bar to close, I didn’t just lose a building. I lost what felt like my identity. I went through a season where I felt completely defeated. It’s a lonely feeling watching something you poured your whole soul into slip away and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. This was my first biggest lesson in real estate. Whoever owns the building, holds all the power.

But as I was closing one chapter, another chapter was just starting. I became a mother to twin boys. Becoming a mommy gave my story new meaning. It made me realize that failure wasn’t the end, it was lessons that I needed to learn. I now had two little ones who needed to see what it looks like to never give up on your dreams regardless of the odds stacked up against you.

So I rebuilt, differently this time. Carefully. Intentionally. Faithfully.

I launched the Sip & Sweets Hibachi food truck, bringing my love for flavor and my mixology roots back to life in a new form. The truck allowed me to move, to be flexible, to grow without being tied down to a building. We served at major events, fed thousands, and created a community that still supports us today.

Along that journey, one of my creations started standing out on its own, my very own honey-based sauce called Honey Thai Chili Garlic that I originally made for the truck. People kept asking for it by the bottle, and that’s when Liquid DripSauce Line was born. The sauce became proof that caring about the people you serve can go further than just a purchase. I created this sauce because there were so many bad ingredients in the others there was no way I was selling that to my customers. Honey based, no added preservatives, no high fructose corn syrup, no dyes, and made with love for the entire family to enjoy.

I also became WBE, WOSB, and HUB certified, expanded Sip & Sweets, and built a product line that now sits at the heart of our brand. It’s still surreal to think that what started in an idea has grown into a product people use in their homes across the country.

Every setback, every pivot, every win, it all shaped this chapter. I’m still building, still dreaming, still chasing the legacy I set out to create. But now, I see the beauty in the journey. The bar closing didn’t break me, it introduced me to the businesswoman, the mother, and the fighter I was meant to become.

If my story connects with anyone reading, I hope it serves as a reminder that sometimes the hardest losses clear space for your greatest rebirth. You just have to be willing to start again.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth? Not at all, and honestly, I don’t think my story would be what it is if it had been.
One of the hardest parts of this journey has been learning how to balance being a mother and being a business owner. There’s a level of “mom guilt” that people don’t warn you about, that constant voice in your head wondering if you’re doing enough, if your kids feel your absence on long workdays, if you’re choosing the right path for them. Some days I felt torn in two: one half trying to run a business, the other half trying to be the soft, present, patient mom my twins deserve.
But I also knew I wanted them to grow up watching their mother build something meaningful, something that could change their future.
After the bar closed, I wasn’t just rebuilding a business. I was rebuilding myself. My credit was damaged, my finances were upside down, and emotionally I felt like I was starting from rock bottom. There were days when giving up felt much easier than trying again. But even in those moments, something in me knew I couldn’t stay down. I didn’t want my story to end at a setback.
So, I started over.
I rebuilt my brand from scratch.
I rebuilt my financial stability.
I rebuilt my confidence.
I rebuilt my hope.
And every step forward came with new obstacles. That’s something people don’t always see. Entrepreneurship isn’t a “win and you’re done” journey. It’s constant maintenance, constant creative thinking, constant fires to put out. There are still days where something breaks on the food truck, or sales slowdown, or a new unexpected challenge shows up out of nowhere. I’m still dealing with hurdles, financial, emotional, and operational, but now I face them with a strength I didn’t have before.
Some mornings I wake up feeling unstoppable. Other mornings I wake up wondering how I’m going to juggle everything on my plate. That’s the truth. There’s never a dull or predictable moment.
But through all of it, the mommy guilt, the rebuilding, the long nights, the setbacks, the pressure, I’ve learned how to persevere. Not because it was easy, but because I was determined to rewrite my story.
I’m still navigating challenges, still learning, still growing, still fighting for the vision I believe in. The road hasn’t been smooth, but every bump and twist taught me resilience. And each step reminds me that even when the journey is hard, it’s worth it, because I’m building a future my kids can stand on.
