Hi Claudia, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I began my journey in the beauty industry after graduating from Aveda Institute, where I built a strong foundation in skincare. I went on to work in both a luxury spa and a med spa in Houston TX. gaining experience in advanced treatments and client care. Then I found Aura Brushed working alongside the previous owner, Crysta, I was introduced to spray tanning and that’s where I truly found my passion.
I fell in love with the artistry of spray tanning and the instant confidence it brings to clients. What started as a new skill quickly became something I genuinely connected with. When the opportunity came to take over the business, I stepped into it with a clear vision and rebranded it as my own.
Today, I combine my esthetics background with customized spray tanning to deliver natural, flawless results. I truly love what I do helping women and men feel confident, radiant, and their absolute best.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Like many small business owners, there were challenges along the way building a loyal clientele, balancing long hours, and learning how to grow in such a competitive beauty industry. Transitioning from skincare into spray tanning was also a new experience that pushed me outside of my comfort zone.
There were moments of self-doubt and trial and error, especially while learning different skin tones, solutions, and how to create the perfect customized tan for each client. But every challenge helped me grow stronger and more confident in my craft. Seeing my clients leave feeling confident and beautiful has always made it worth it and continues to motivate me every day at Velour Bronze.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that many people may not know about me is that I actually started my beauty career focused on skincare and facials before finding my passion in spray tanning. My background as an esthetician helped me understand skin on a deeper level, which now plays a huge role in how I customize each tan for my clients.
Another thing people may not realize is how much heart and personal care goes into Velour Bronze behind the scenes. Every appointment is more than just a spray tan to me. I genuinely love helping people feel confident, comfortable, and beautiful in their own skin. Building those relationships with clients and watching their confidence grow is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
