Inspiring Conversations with Diego Garcia of GetPresence

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Garcia.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I grew up in Houston and attended Kingwood High School, then went on to study Digital Media at the University of Houston’s Cullen College of Engineering. While in school, I worked long hours in the Marietta Cookies warehouse, balancing physical work with coursework. That combination, hands-on labor during the day and technical problem-solving at school, shaped how I think about work and systems.

During that time, I began noticing how inefficient and outdated many small businesses’ online setups were, especially when it came to capturing and responding to leads. I saw a clear opportunity to improve how businesses operate digitally. By building better websites, simplifying their systems, and creating online experiences that actually work for owners instead of overwhelming them.

That realization led to GetPresence. My motivation is personal, as the child of immigrant parents who built their livelihoods through entrepeneurship and hard work, I understand how much is at stake for small business owners. That empathy is what drives me to help businesses in my community operate more efficiently, protect their time, and grow with confidence.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One of the biggest challenges has been time and focus. Balancing multiple businesses while still being present for family and loved ones requires constant prioritization and sacrifice. There are no clean lines between work and personal life when you are building something from the ground up.

Another challenge has been the early stage of the business itself. Building something meaningful takes time, especially when you’re focused on getting it right rather than rushing for quick wins. There were long periods of work without immediate validation, which forces you to develop patience, confidence in your vision, and the discipline to keep improving even when results aren’t instant.

Those challenges have reinforced why GetPresence exists in the first place. The business is built around helping owners reclaim time and mental space, because I understand firsthand how easy it is for work to consume everything if systems aren’t designed intentionally.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about GetPresence?
GetPresence helps local service businesses turn their online presence into a system that actually works for them. We specialize in high-converting websites, lead-capture systems, and automations that ensure inquiries are captured, qualified, and delivered to the business owner without constant interruptions.

What sets us apart is that we design everything from the operator’s point of view. We are not focused on vanity metrics or complicated dashboards. Our systems are built to reduce missed opportunities, protect a business owner’s time, and create clarity instead of noise. If a solution doesn’t work in real-world conditions: busy days, urgent customers, limited staff we don’t ship it.

Brand-wise, what I’m most proud of is our commitment to simplicity and reliability. GetPresence is intentionally designed to feel calm and straightforward, both visually and operationally. Beautiful design matters, but only when it serves a purpose: trust, usability, and conversion.

I want readers to know that GetPresence isn’t about chasing trends or adding more tools. It’s about helping local businesses operate with confidence, capture every opportunity they’ve earned, and build systems that support their lives, not consume them.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as consistent progress, showing up every day, taking action, and committing to getting better over time. It’s about doing the work even when results aren’t immediate, while trusting that effort compounds.

Success also means being dependable. If the people around you can rely on you, your family, your clients, your community, that matters more than any short-term metric. And ultimately, success is having the ability to help others, whether that’s by creating opportunities, sharing knowledge, or supporting people when they need it.

For me, faith plays an important role in that process. I believe in doing my part through action, while trusting God with the outcomes.
