Hi Electra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My story begins with vision and faith two things that have carried me through every season of my life. I started Glamour House Studios not just as a beauty space, but as a sanctuary where style, healing, and entrepreneurship could co-exist. What started with a passion for lashes and luxury aesthetics has evolved into a full-scale salon that reflects divine alignment, resilience, and community.
I didn’t have all the resources in the beginning, but I had drive, creativity, and a purpose bigger than me. I poured into myself spiritually, emotionally, and structuring my systems, balancing motherhood, and still showing up as the face and heart of my brand.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Absolutely not and I say that with gratitude. The road has had its fair share of detours, late nights, setbacks, and silent battles. Balancing motherhood while building a brand from the ground up tested every part of me. There were moments when I had to choose between paying for investments or groceries, when I showed up to appointments with tears in my eyes but lashes to apply, when I poured into others while learning how to refill my own cup.
One of the biggest challenges was learning how to trust myself especially when others didn’t understand my vision. I’ve dealt with self-doubt, financial pressure, and the weight of wearing every hat in my business: artist, owner, marketer, manager, bookkeeper… and still showing up with grace. I had to unlearn survival mode and embrace alignment. That meant walking away from what didn’t serve me, setting boundaries, and healing through entrepreneurship.
As you know, we’re big fans of Glamour Houston Studios. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I’m the owner of Glamour House Studios, a salon suite concept designed to empower independent beauty professionals with a space of their own to thrive. This isn’t just a rental space it’s a curated environment where beauty meets business, and where every detail has been intentionally designed to support growth, professionalism, and peace.
We offer private suites for lash artists, estheticians, hairstylists, and other beauty entrepreneurs who are ready to step into ownership without the overwhelm. What sets us apart is the energy we lead with softness, excellence, and divine feminine leadership. This is a space where your business can grow, your clients feel elevated, and your dreams feel supported.
While managing the salon studio, I remain committed to mentoring Houston youth sharing lessons in entrepreneurship, self-worth, and vision to help shape the next generation of leaders.
