Hi Evan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Originating from China, I was always raised from a business oriented family. My upbringing was mostly like any hard-working families, we all contributed to the family in one way or another whether it was in terms of work, school, cleaning, cooking etc. Ever since I was a kid, I enjoyed school, learning how to cook and learning about my parent’s businesses. Having immersed myself in learning, I always knew I wanted to grow up and be an entrepreneur. Taking all the knowledge and experience I gained growing up, I eventually went on to become a chef and family restaurant owner. From there, this led to the development of my first business. Located in Cypress, Texas, I started “Spark Hookah Lounge in 2018. During this time, I came across clients from all over the city who were looking to relax and enjoy the time in our local neighborhood establishment. Eventually, Covid occurred in 2019 and after that, things in the economy started to shift and I decided to move on to my next business endeavor. In the year 2021, I started my current business “ E & E Electronics Recycling LLC”. With the purpose to bring awareness about electronic recycling and contribute to the preservation of our environment is where it all started and what brings us here today. Meanwhile, in my personal time, I enjoy stock trading, cooking, trying new foods and spending time with my family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
One can say for the most part, it has been really smooth. Like any business, it comes with struggles in the beginning but like they say, all good things take time. Being a new business in the Houston Heights area and trying to get our name out there, as well as adapting to the neighborhood took some time, but after a while it all fell into place. At first, we started with familiarizing ourselves with the surrounding neighborhoods and local businesses, then we started collaborating with communities and companies. After we began collaborating, we started to partake and be a part of more events in our area. We often try to host electronic recycling events, volunteer with organizations and assist companies dispose of their e-waste in a safe and efficient way.

Our mission at E&E Recycling group is to specialize in electronic recycling and turn outdated electronics into reusable goods. By reusing recycled materials, we are transforming yesterday’s products into today’s technology. Recycle Today, Renew Tomorrow.
We are an electronic recycling company based here in Houston, Texas. We recycle all types of electronic products such as monitors, pc’s, servers, networking hubs, hard drives, printers, electronic cables, laptops, phones, tablets, tv’s and more. We offer complimentary pickup services for companies and businesses. In regards to the electronic recycling process, we offer data destruction and ensure the safety and security of your data in our facility. Our service is free of charge and very easy to do. If anyone is looking to drop-off items to us, we have drop-off bins conveniently located in the front of our office where anyone can place their unwanted or outdated electronics and if any assistance is needed, there is always someone to assist. Not only do we help companies properly dispose of their outdated electronics, we are able to help individuals and local residents. We enjoy the community events and the ability to facilitate the electronic recycling process. Across our social media platforms, we continue to spread awareness of the electronic recycling process and inform the city of our complimentary services. We hope to be able to continue to help our city with its electronic recycling needs and are always open to new collaborations, projects, events and opportunities !
What do you like and dislike about the city?
When it comes to the City of Houston, it’s a great city to live and work in. There are so many different parts of the city and each one makes you feel as if you were in another place. One of the great things about Houston out of the many is how diverse it is. There are people from all walks of life, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and this contributes to a great environment as well as great food! If you’ve lived in Houston or you’re new, one of the least favorite things we experience here is the amount of traffic, but the city makes up for it!
