Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Mercy Folaoluyinka Aruleba and I’m a proud Nigerian-American born and raised in The Bronx, New York. Shoutout to the BX!
From the age of 18, I discovered my passion for exploring the world beyond the four walls of my bedroom. Through an incredible program at my high school, the EHS Ambassador Program, I had the opportunity to travel to the United Kingdom, France, and Italy. This experience completely changed my life.
Visiting cities thousands of miles away from home and still seeing people who looked like me sparked a deep, lifelong love for travel. That moment of connection and discovery planted the seed for what would become my purpose.
Today, I’m a world traveler, travel agent, and experience curator. My mission is to make travel seamless for those who may be venturing beyond the country for the very first time.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This journey has definitely had its challenges. Navigating the ever-changing travel industry from pandemic restrictions to the pressure of staying relevant and creating quality social media content hasn’t always been easy.
There have been moments of uncertainty and times where I felt the weight of trying to be perfect in everything I put out. But through it all, I’ve learned that perfection can steal the joy from the process. I’m learning to embrace the journey instead of rushing to the destination, and that shift in mindset has made all the difference.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
One of my favorite childhood memories is playing manhunt and freeze tag with my neighborhood friends as a teenager. It was such a simple time with no phones, no distractions, just pure fun and connection.
Looking back, those moments remind me of the power of community and how much I valued being surrounded by people I cared about, and who cared about me. As we grow older, we often realize that one of our most basic human desires is simply to be in community with those we love. I’ll always cherish those carefree days and the people I shared them with.
