Today we’d like to introduce you to Galiya Loustalot
Hi Galiya, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My relationships with Pilates method started in 2011 in Dubai after we welcomed our first son. I immediately felt all the benefits that pilates can offer: strengthened my deep core muscles, improved my postures, increased flexibility, and above all, it helped me balance my emotions (as a brand new mother). After we relocated to Houston I kept practicing pilates and yoga. And in 2021 I got certified as a classical Pilates instructor. I taught mat and on equipment, group and individual sessions.
I eventually decided to open my studio in Northwest Houston to share my knowledge and experience in Pilates. At the same time, I continued getting my comprehensive certification. Now I am a Level 3 Pilates instructor, I offer group classes for beginners and advanced students, individual and duet sessions at my studio in Vintage Park.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a fairly smooth road for me opening the studio. I received tremendous support from my husband and our boys. I am grateful that I had an opportunity to do what I love and am passionate about. And I do it with love.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Pilates by Galiya’s Fitness is a boutique style studio in a secure location in Northwest Houston. We are a fully equipped studio (with reformers, towers, ladder barrel, pilates chairs, spine correctors, and spine supporters). We offer small group classes for students of all levels – beginners through advanced; and also individual and duet sessions where we focus on a client’s specific needs. It is important to us to offer a clean and relaxed environment for pilates practice. The studio is open seven days a week, with classes by appointment only as early as 6 am and our last group class at 7:30 pm.
As a pilates studio, we focus on safety, precision of movement, breathing, and the client’s body awareness.
There is no long term commitment or monthly membership fee. Our students pay for classes as they sign up to take them by booking online through the website at www.galiyasfitness.com or the MINDBODY app.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
“Physical fitness is a first requisite of happiness” – Joseph Pilates. I came from the culture where we strongly believe that movement can heal your body and mind. I have been raised with this belief.
I was very blessed to have great instructors and employees who shared their knowledge and experience. I am very grateful for clients that inspire me every day. Their energy and progress brings me strength .
My husband and our boys continue to give me support and confidence.
