Today we’d like to introduce you to Hala Saadeh Rania Ahmad
Hi Hala Saadeh, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Nurses Rania Ahmad and Hala Saadeh best friends for 16 years, always dreamed of starting a business together. With shared passions for health, wellness, and aesthetics, they envisioned The MedSpa on Mulberry. The plan took shape during everyday moments—on benches after picking up their kids from school, during morning drives, and whenever they could steal time together. Their mission is to empower women from the inside out by bringing balance and wellness to aesthetics and self-care, creating a space where confidence and beauty flourish.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting The MedSpa on Mulberry came with its own set of challenges for Nurses Hala Saadeh and Rania Ahmad. One of the biggest struggles was selecting products that truly aligned with their core values of promoting genuine wellness and self-care. In an industry often filled with misleading advertising, they made it a priority to ensure that every product and treatment offered was backed by honesty and transparency. Their commitment to ethical practices is at the heart of their mission, ensuring clients trust the quality and integrity of the services they receive.
We’ve been impressed with The MedSpa on Mulberry, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Hala-
When I was in second grade, I decided I’d had enough of school one day and figured I could just head home early. In my seven-year-old mind, I thought no one would notice if I quietly slipped away during recess. So, I made a break for it, walking out the gate and heading toward home like it was just another part of the school day.
I managed to make it a few blocks before realizing I didn’t have a key to get inside. But I didn’t panic. Instead, I thought, “I’ll just grab the mail—that’ll make it look like I’m supposed to be here.” So when I saw the mailman coming up the street, I confidently walked up to him and said, “Can I get the mail for my house, please?”
The mailman looked down at me, obviously confused. He asked, “Shouldn’t you be in school right now?” Without missing a beat, I said, “Nope, I’m just here to get the mail!” He smiled and said, “Let’s call your school and see what they think about that.” And just like that, my grand plan unraveled. I ended up getting a ride back to school in the mail truck—definitely not the escape I’d imagined!
Rania-
When I was about eight, I was convinced that running a lemonade stand would be my ticket to becoming a business mogul. I had it all planned out—borrow my mom’s pitcher, buy some lemons, and set up shop on the corner of our street. In my mind, people would be lining up for blocks to buy my lemonade.
So, one hot summer day, I decided it was time. I squeezed the lemons, added sugar (way too much sugar), and dragged a small table to the front yard. My “Lemonade 50¢” sign was proudly displayed, and I waited… and waited… and waited some more. After what felt like hours, I got my first customer—a neighborhood kid, probably around my age, who handed me 50 cents with a grin.
Excited, I poured him a tall glass and watched as he took his first sip. I’ll never forget the look on his face. His eyes went wide, and he spat the lemonade out right there on the sidewalk. I was mortified. I quickly realized that in my rush to set up shop, I had forgotten to add water to the lemonade—it was pure lemon juice and sugar. No wonder it tasted awful!
But instead of giving up, I offered him a refund and a free “second edition” once I fixed the recipe. He laughed and agreed. After that, I learned the importance of preparation—and maybe doing a taste test or two before selling a product.
It’s funny looking back now, but that experience was probably one of my first lessons in customer service and quality control. Even when things go wrong, it’s all about how you recover and adapt!
