Hi Hamzah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Haraz Coffee House is a unique coffee house that is passionate about sharing the history and heritage of Yemeni coffee. Yemen is where coffee was founded and flourished through the coffee trade, and Haraz Coffee House strives to bring the centuries of traditions to a high-end establishment near you!
Haraz Coffee House prides itself on its unique ambiance and exceptional service. We strive to consistently serve high-quality traditional Yemeni coffee and pastries at reasonable while treating all patrons and staff with dignity and respect.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I began the project on opening the 1st Haraz in Dearborn, Michigan, just 3 months before COVID came. When COVID arrived, it changed our lives and many others around the world. At that point, I had already spent $150K, and the governor issued a complete halt on all construction. I could not give up on my dream to I continued the construction just after the halt and completed my first cafe. It was a very successful opening on April 2021
Since then, Haraz has 9 locations and 5 more coming this before the end of this year

Haraz Coffee House is a unique coffee house that is passionate about sharing the history and heritage of Yemeni coffee. Yemen is where coffee was founded and flourished through the coffee trade, and Haraz Coffee House strives to bring the centuries of traditions to a high-end establishment near you!
We use authentic and the oldest methods of brewing coffee. Our Logo, although it looks like steam, it is Arabic calligraphy Haraz.
Haraz today has established a Coffee School, the first of its kind Arabica Coffee School, which teaches new methods. We launched our App in the App Store, and we cater to wedding and give back to our communities like they have supported our business
What do you think about happiness?
Coffee not only makes me happy but everyone who comes in our cafes. It brings people together and unites people. I smile and get happy when I see people meeting at Haraz and enjoying some time, and some even get married out of Haraz.
