Inspiring Conversations with Janet Randolph of Yoga on the Brazos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Janet Randolph.

Janet Randolph

Hi Janet, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have been practicing yoga for over 25 years. Since my first pregnancy. I was a big fitness person, but I felt I needed “something” more while pregnant; Yoga provided just that. And it has become a huge part of my life since then. Years later, I experienced a tragedy. As part of my recovery, I started taking Sylvia’s Kundalini and Full Moon Meditations. These classes were just what I needed at that time in my life. This is what brought me to Yoga On The Brazos. From then on, I fell in love with this precious gem of a studio.

This little house of YOTB is perfect with its ambiance and peacefulness.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been smooth, but then Covid hit. I was blessed that ALL of my instructors taught their classes from home.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Yoga on the Brazos?
Yoga on the Brazos is more than a yoga studio. Our classes are based on foundational yoga postures and will motivate and challenge you both mentally and physically. People of any age or fitness level are welcome. We offer a wide variety of classes to help you derive the many benefits that yoga has to offer. Our studio is unique, housed in a converted house! Practice areas are welcoming, and there is an outdoor space then includes a mandala. Stay after class for a cup of tea in our quaint kitchen or on the back patio.

In addition to yoga classes, we offer in-house massage therapy, energy medicine, workshops, and special events.

Before we go, is there anything else you can share with us?
We also offer Kids Yoga Saturday mornings.
