Hi Jasmin, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The “AMD” concept was created by my mother and I about 10 years ago. Although we never put the plan into action until 2022, there was never a long period of time that went by that we didn’t discuss Any Mini Desserts. Fast forward to 2022, after several years in the corporate world, I’d finally had enough. I left behind a corporate career to become a full-time entrepreneur, created Any Mini Dessert Cakes with my mother, Tammy Allen, a pastry chef and owner of Wedding Cakes by Tammy. Our premium dessert bar is known for our incredible custom mini cakes and signature sweet treats, made from scratch daily, with the most unique flavors anywhere in Houston. Daily specialties include fresh-baked cupcakes in flavors from “Tx Melon” to “Salted Caramel,” delectable in cakes, cookies, pies, and homemade Blackberry and Peach Cobbler cakes that are in a class of their own!
As of the end of 2023, I have fully taken on the business 100%. I welcome our neighbors in Copperfield, Jersey Village, Bridgeland, and Cypress, TX, to come in and visit. We are the neighborhood dessert bar with a welcoming community space where friends and family can share wonderful desserts, laugh, and create fond memories.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Yes and no! No, because I came into an unfamiliar territory, being that I have no previous knowledge of the baking industry.
Yes, because I have my mother guiding me along the way. She’s been a top runner in the wedding industry for 30-plus years, so the questions I have, she has every answer to.
If I feel like I don’t know something or doing something wrong, I don’t hesitate to lean on her for answers/guidance.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Any Mini Dessert Cakes?
Outside of the bakery/Any Mini Dessert Cakes, many would say I’m the “Jill” of all trades. I do all of our marketing myself. In fact, I’ve just recently branded myself.

I think what sets me apart from everyone else is that I’ve never met a task that I didn’t think I could master. I’m most provide of my consistency, which breeds high quality in everything that I do.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Crawl before you walk. Take your time and learn as much as you can. If you are fortunate enough to find someone within the same industry, do not be afraid to ask them questions or ask them to be your mentor.
