Kenneth, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I got started because I’ve always had a passion for animals and enjoyed working with dogs. What began as helping family and friends with their pets turned into something I wanted to pursue professionally. As I gained more experience, I learned about grooming, proper pet care, and responsible breeding. Seeing the positive impact I could have on both pets and their owners motivated me to keep growing. That passion eventually led me to build Legacy Pet Care, where my goal is to provide high-quality, compassionate care for every animal.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
“No, it hasn’t always been a smooth road. Like any business, there have been challenges. Starting out, I had to build a customer base starting on my moms patio, earn people’s trust, manage expenses, and learn how to balance the day-to-day responsibilities of running a business. There were times when things didn’t go as planned, we lost puppies/ breeding, or even messing up while grooming but each challenge taught me something valuable. Instead of giving up, I used those experiences to improve my skills, strengthen my business, and provide even better service to my customers. Those obstacles have made me more adaptable, determined, and confident in what I do.”
