Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Bonham

Hi Kiara, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
In 2020, during a very uncertain time in life, I decided to create an LLC called Bonham Realty. At the time, I had no idea I would eventually become a real estate agent. I had just graduated with my bachelor’s degree and was unsure of what I wanted to do with my life. To keep moving forward, I enrolled in a master’s program at the University of Houston. However, I quickly realized that I hated school. With the pandemic making everything even more difficult, I struggled to stay focused and ultimately decided to drop out.

By 2022, I finally pursued something I had been thinking about for a while—I got my real estate license. I had no idea how many doors this decision would open for me. At that time, I was working as a manager at Enterprise while also attending graduate school full-time. Eventually, I quit my job, thinking real estate would be an easy transition. Little did I know, it was far more challenging than I had anticipated.

It took me six months to close my first sale. Those six months were some of the most financially challenging moments of my life. But once I made that first sale, everything changed—I became laser-focused and driven. I realized that in this business, you have to go out and get the clients; they won’t just come to you.

Determined to succeed, I started placing my business cards on every apartment door in my building. I also found creative ways to market myself on social media. One thing I can say with confidence: no matter how hard it got, I never gave up.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
At first, I struggled to put myself out there. It took me a while to figure out which systems worked best for me and my business. Along the way, I learned that not every client is the right fit for me—and vice versa—and that’s okay.

We’ve been impressed with Closing with Kiara, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My goal is to help people save as much money as possible when purchasing a home. I want homeownership to feel achievable, not unrealistic. Buying a home is one of the biggest financial decisions you’ll make in your lifetime, and I strive to make the process as seamless and stress-free as possible.

What sets me apart is my commitment to saving my clients money. I do this by negotiating aggressively with sellers and builders, always advocating for your best interests. If necessary, I’m also willing to step in and provide support during challenging times.

My brand, Closing with Kiara, is more than just a slogan—it’s a statement. No matter what obstacles arise, my ultimate goal is to get you to the closing table. Whether that happens now, next year, or in the future, I’ll be here to make it happen.
