Inspiring Conversations with Kimora Woolery of Zxanyi’s Media House LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kimora Woolery

Hi Kimora, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a creative soul. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been drawing, scribbling, and finding joy in creating across different mediums. Art has always been my outlet, and I’ve held a deep appreciation for it over the years. I’ll never forget the moment I knew art was my calling. It was an old sketchbook my sister had, with a beautiful drawing of a hibiscus flower. I was in complete awe of it, and I remember thinking, ‘I want to be able to do that.’ That moment has stayed with me, and I’m so thankful to have a family that has supported my dreams, even when it hasn’t always been easy.

My mom took a leap of faith in sending me to art school, amidst many other paths, and I truly believe I am who I am today because she saw that spark in me and nurtured it. My brother also played a huge role by giving me the chance to create my very first music video, which opened my eyes to a whole new world of possibilities. These moments, these decisions, have shaped me into who I am now.

But most of all, I’m here today because of God’s grace and mercy. He has guided me and provided a way, even when I doubted there was one. For that, I’m forever grateful.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The journey has definitely not been a smooth one—creatives rarely have a straight path—but with the support of my loved ones, every struggle has been worth it. As a woman in this industry, I’ve often had to prove myself, and at times, it can feel like we’re overlooked. It’s tough on the mind, and that’s why having a strong support system is essential.

I remember countless nights staying up, teaching myself what I didn’t know or what I wanted to improve on. I was always hungry for knowledge, eager to learn and grow. The moment I realized I was meant to run this company was when I truly understood just how much I was capable of.

One of my greatest challenges has been learning to get out of my own head. It’s a common struggle for artists—we get so attached to our work that self-doubt often creeps in. To anyone thinking about betting on themselves, here’s something I’d like to share: You might not see it now, but if you keep pushing forward, the path will eventually become clear.

I’m deeply grateful for the people who’ve kept pushing me, believing in me, and in what I can achieve.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I like to think of myself as being in the business of making dreams a reality. I offer a wide range of services, from photography and videography to illustrations, graphic design, social media management—you name it, I probably can do it (lol). My business has become something of a one-stop shop, and I love every aspect of it. I’m passionate about what I do and always strive to bring a unique perspective to every project. I truly believe every idea can be brought to life—it’s just a matter of sticking with it.

I’m especially proud of my knack for capturing moments. It’s something I’ve always had a gift for, and trust me, my mom and family members can definitely vouch for that (lol). My business operates online, and I offer services tailored to what the client needs. I provide affordable prices for high-quality work, and more often than not, my clients get a lot more than they expected. For me, moments are precious, and it’s a gift I love to share with those I work with.

When it comes to design, I thrive on the challenge of bringing visions to life. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of seeing my clients happy and proud of the work they’ve entrusted me with. This same energy carries over into my social media management, where I make sure to listen closely to my clients, ensuring I deliver exactly what they need to reach their goals.

In a nutshell, I’m all about the client. My job is to bring your vision to life, and I take that very seriously.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I believe the key qualities to success can’t be reduced to just one thing—it’s a combination of factors. First, an open mind is crucial. Being open to new ideas, feedback, and different perspectives allows for growth and adaptability in an ever-changing world. Second, a strong and supportive circle is vital. Surrounding yourself with people who believe in you, challenge you, and offer guidance is invaluable on any journey. Lastly, I truly believe that having God at the center of it all is what keeps everything grounded. Faith provides strength, direction, and purpose, especially when things get tough. These three elements—an open mind, a strong support system, and faith—are what I consider to be the foundation of success
