Hi Krystal, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
HNF was an idea that was birthed after I moved to the #DMV for Graduate school and started feeling like I didn’t have any friends that I could kick it with on the regular, and make real MOVES with! Sure, I went to lots of events and I networked. However, I wasn’t building long-lasting relationships and that’s what I wanted more than anything especially being in a NEW city!
I wanted friends that I could not only frequent events & turn up with, but I wanted friends that I could have new experiences with; Friends that I could text on a whim for a movie date, happy hour, spa date, etc. friends that I could GROW and BOSS UP with and friends, that I could IMPACT my community with. – You know, multifaceted -well rounded women!
And that’s exactly what HNF is giving!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, I’ll say that it has been a smooth road. However, with new levels, you run into new obstacles. Being that the HNF community started off solely as a passion project it was hard to find the correct method to be able to monetize my passion. I personally think that it’s easier to monetize product based/ traditional businesses vs. service based ones.
I’m extremely grateful to have been connected with such amazing/business savvy women, some who have been in my life for years. With their assistance, I have been able to turn this dream of mine into an outstanding, reputable business.
I couldn’t have done it without them, it truly takes a village.

HeyNewFriends is an exclusive membership network for women who are new to the city and looking for experiences while cultivating relationships.

I am the most happy when I am being of service to others while also staying true to myself. It really warms my heart when I’m able to see how God used me to enhance the lives of those around me. Those moments are priceless.
