Inspiring Conversations with LaTisha Rhodes of SheFit Fitness

Today we’d like to introduce you to LaTisha Rhodes.

Hi LaTisha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Back in 2012, I started on my fitness journey. As I struggled with how to get the weight off I tried several different things. The one thing that helped me the most was running. The more I ran the more the weight I lost. Fast forward a few years to 2015. My personal weight-loss journey fueled my desire to help others. As the desire to help others started to arise in me I decided to become a fitness coach. I struggled with what my niche was so it took me some time to figure it out. I knew that I wanted to help women get into better shape. Then it hit me and I started helping busy women that wanted to lose weight but did not know where to start. The time they needed to workout with me became a problem because they needed to be home with their families or other roadblocks.

I remember one day one of my clients expressed how she wanted to work out but she had to go home to her son. Another problem was it was too cold outside and neither one of us wanted to be outdoors. I asked her if I could video call her and watch her workout? She said yes let’s try it. That day I became a virtual fitness coach training my first client virtually.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road at all. One of the biggest struggles that is face is time management and understanding my body and knowing when to is time to rest.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I have a Virtual Fitness Business for women. I train women virtually creating meal guides, I am an accountability coach I hold weekly group workouts and I also have a Move Club.

I specialize in helping women get fit for LIFE.

My own personal struggles with weight is want sets me apart from others.

I am most proud of the progress that I have made as a coach. I have a great group of women on my team that help me be successful.

My readers should know that SheFit Fitness is here to help women become the best version of themselves. When you become a part of my team you are becoming a part of a virtual family. This is a no judgment zone and I want to help you on your journey to becoming a better you.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
My advice would be to network with people that are where you want to be. Surround yourself with people that would love to see you WIN. Follow businesses on social media that you can learn from. Always be a student.

I got connected with a couple here in Houston early in business Mr. & Mrs. Craft. The owners of Black Book Houston.

They have opened my eyes to so much as a business owner and I would advise others to get connected to them as well.
