Hi Linsey, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today. 
So, I moved to Cypress, Texas, 7 years ago from South Florida, and I noticed upon my arrival to Cypress, Texas, that there were not a lot of beauty supply stores in the area. I also had 7 kids, and getting to the beauty supply store was not easy, especially when it wasn’t close. So, I started thinking to myself about how I could this be easier for me to get my beauty supplies. So, I started planning and thinking of my idea. Covid set me back, which probably would have been the ideal time to start, but it all worked out. So, in 2022 I started planning and writing my business plan I got approved for the loan. I started buying my inventory and creating my website. I started by selling the products out of the trunk of my car before creating a space in my house for my products. I then renovated my shed in November to make it my warehouse. Business was going so well that I decided to open a storefront in February of 2024. So, I opened the store Feb 19th, 2024. Hair2you is Houston 1st of its kind mobile beauty supply. We offer free same-day delivery as well as in-person shopping and order-a-head pick-up 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I think I had personal challenges along the way, feeling motivated. In 2022 I went through a depression, and it really set back feeling motivated to succeed and push the myself to get the business going. 

It has also been some challenges along the way. Especially as I opened the storefront. Other than my small business loan, I have self-funded 90% of my business. This makes it difficult at times when the business has slow day and trying to stay afloat. 

I also work 2 jobs in addition to running my business, which present challenges itself because I’m not able to give 100% all the time to my business.

My business is a mobile beauty supply store that I founded with a passion for bringing convenience and quality to the beauty industry. Our unique concept revolves around offering multiple convenient options for our customers to access their favorite beauty products. Whether it’s through in-person shopping at our mobile store, ordering ahead for pickup, or enjoying the convenience of free delivery, we aim to cater to the diverse needs and preferences of our clientele.

I don’t believe luck has played any part of my life or business. Instead, I base it solely on my faith and what God has done for me. I am strong in my faith, and I see my business as a gift from God. I feel like God continues to be faithful in my business, and I’m excited about where it will go.
