Today we’d like to introduce you to Lisseth Larios
Hi Lisseth, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I moved to Houston in 2009, facing the challenges that many immigrants experience when starting fresh in a new country. Like so many others, I was determined to create a better life for myself and my family. I enrolled at Houston Community College to study accounting and learn English, all while working at Marshalls to make ends meet. Through hard work, determination, and careful planning, I was able to buy my first home in 2010—a milestone that fueled my passion for real estate.
That experience showed me what was possible with the right mindset and resources. It inspired me to not only become a real estate investor but also a Realtor so I could teach others to do what I did. Alongside my husband, I’ve built a successful rental portfolio and dedicated my career to helping others achieve homeownership.
Today, I’m proud to say that I’ve helped over 500 families own homes of their own. My goal is to show people that homeownership isn’t just a dream—it’s achievable with the right guidance and effort. I want to empower others to take that life-changing step, just as I did.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been easy. This career demands countless sacrifices, especially when it comes to time. Balancing work and family has been one of the biggest challenges, but every step of the journey has been worth it.
Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a dedicated real estate agent and the Team Leader of The Larios Home Group.
What sets me apart is my commitment to education and service. I take pride in simplifying the home-buying process for families, especially those who are purchasing their first home. Through free seminars and one-on-one consultations, I ensure my clients have all the knowledge and tools they need to make informed decisions. Helping families turn their dream of homeownership into reality is not just a job for me—it’s my passion.
I’m proud of the reputation I’ve built in the community as someone who genuinely cares about helping others succeed. For me, real estate is not just about buying and selling homes—it’s about changing lives, building legacies, and creating opportunities for families to thrive.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Resilience is Essential in this business and life.
This career comes with its share of challenges—deals falling through, market slowdowns, or difficult negotiations. I’ve learned that staying resilient, maintaining a positive mindset, and always looking for solutions helps overcome setbacks and keep moving forward.
