With a perfect blend of visionary leadership and financial expertise, we’ve been able to grow a thriving enterprise rooted in passion, dedication, and a deep respect for one another.

One of our proudest accomplishments is **Chateau Grace Venue**—a space born from my love of hosting, entertaining, and event design. At the core of our success is our incredible team, including skilled event managers Patricia, Joan, and Sharon, along with other valued industry partnerships. They are the hands that help bring our vision to life, ensuring every event exceeds expectations and runs seamlessly. Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road to opening **Chateau Grace** certainly wasn’t without its challenges, but each step along the way has been essential to our growth and the success of the venue. It wasn’t all smooth sailing—like any entrepreneurial journey, we faced our fair share of struggles.

One of the most difficult hurdles was balancing the big vision we had for **Chateau Grace** with the financial and operational realities of the business. There were plenty of unexpected obstacles—whether it was sourcing materials, managing vendor timelines, or ensuring that every detail of the venue reflected the elegance and comfort we envisioned. It often felt like we were tackling one problem after another, but through it all, we kept our eyes fixed on the end goal.

The event industry itself was another challenge. While I had always been passionate about hosting, managing a professional venue was a whole different ballgame. We had to learn how to handle larger-scale events, coordinate logistics on a grander scale, and meet the expectations that come with running a premier venue.

But in the midst of it all, there were sleepless nights, moments when we felt overwhelmed, and times when we didn’t know how we’d move forward. That’s when we had to take ourselves out of the equation and completely trust God. We realized we weren’t expected to figure it all out on our own—He just wanted to see if we were willing to be obedient and walk by faith. We cast all our cares on Him, knowing He would guide us through each challenge, step by step.

Despite all the setbacks, our partnership, faith, and commitment to the vision kept us going. Every struggle, every lesson learned, led us to this point. Today, **Chateau Grace** is a reflection of the hard work, perseverance, and most importantly, the trust we placed in God. While the road wasn’t always easy, every obstacle taught us something valuable, and in the end, it helped us create something truly special.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson we’ve learned along the way is the power of adaptability and the importance of staying true to our vision while being flexible enough to pivot when needed. In both business and life, things don’t always go as planned, and challenges will arise. It’s in those moments of uncertainty that growth truly happens.

Alongside this, our faith and belief in God have played a huge role in shaping our approach to life’s challenges. Andre is often amazed at how I don’t worry about things I can’t control—he still tries to figure out how I stay so calm in the face of adversity! But for both of us, it’s our unwavering faith that gives us peace. We truly believe that God has a plan for everything, and when things feel out of our hands, we trust in His timing and guidance.

We’ve learned that success doesn’t come from avoiding mistakes but from embracing them as opportunities for learning and improvement. Staying focused on the bigger picture—creating meaningful experiences for our clients and staying committed to excellence—has helped guide us through difficult times. It’s also essential to trust in our team and surround ourselves with people who share our values and vision.
