At the center of enstyle is Mayz Ivy. Her confidence, boldness, and dedication are the foundation of the brand. Enstyle was first envisioned in 2013 during a trip to Dubai, where the idea of blending style, class, and personality came to life — ultimately shaping Enstyle into a trusted fashion destination.

An Arab-African entrepreneur and mother to an amazing son, Mayz was raised with strong values around discipline, financial awareness, and goal setting — lessons instilled by her mother that still guide her today.

She holds a degree in Business Marketing with a minor in Education from the University of Houston and further pursued her creative passion at the Glassell School of Fine Art. Her background in corporate America helped form a structured business philosophy, while her love for fashion and art shaped the aesthetic Enstyle is known for today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it has been incredibly rewarding over the past 12 years. Like any business, there were growing pains — learning how to balance inventory, understanding what customers truly want, building trust, and navigating the ups and downs of retail and online sales. Operating both a storefront and a fulfillment center for online orders added another layer of responsibility, requiring constant coordination to ensure every customer, whether in-store or online, received the same level of service and care.

There were moments of uncertainty and long hours behind the scenes that people don’t always see. However, every challenge helped shape enstyle into what it is today. The lessons taught patience, resilience, and the importance of truly listening to our customers. Seeing women feel confident in what they wear and watching the community grow made every obstacle worth it.

enstyle was never meant to be just a boutique — it was created to remove the stress from getting dressed. Most women don’t struggle because they don’t have clothes… they struggle because they don’t have clarity. We built enstyle around solving that problem.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about our city is the diversity — you’re constantly surrounded by different cultures, styles, foods, and perspectives, and that naturally inspires creativity. It keeps fashion interesting because women here aren’t afraid to express themselves in their own way. There’s also a real entrepreneurial spirit — people support local businesses and genuinely want to see you grow.

What I like least is how spread out everything is. You can have loyal customers across the city but still feel far from them because of traffic and distance. But the positive side is that shipping often solves that — many local customers actually receive their packages next day, sometimes faster than making the drive in.
