Today we’d like to introduce you to Natasha Diaz.
Alright so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi- I’m Natasha – born and raised in Wisconsin and now a proud Texan. I’m a mom, wife, business professional and lover of celebrations! My love of picture taking, party planning and trying to make every event memorable is what got me to this place of now owning a photo booth business. We call our photo booths – Snap Stations!
Why I love photos: Some of my favorite memories growing up involve celebrations with my family and friends. I come from a large (extended) Hispanic family and we were always gathering for birthdays, holidays and even “just because”. Looking back at photos taken during these times always makes my heart happy because photos hold priceless memories. I think everyone can agree with that.
My love of party planning: As an adult, I now enjoy planning celebrations and all of the details that go along with them. Every event should feel special and remembering that day is so important. One of my struggles when being in this role has always been remembering to take photos of the fun. That’s where a Snap Station comes in and saves those memories. I’m sure I’m not alone when it comes to being a busy host.
My first experience with a photo booth was about 8.5 years ago at my wedding. At that time there was only a print option, but everyone loved it. It was a green screen and so fun. Then last year I was wow’d by a digital photo booth at a wedding in Wisconsin. I was so impressed and absolutely loved how the guests got INSTANT digital and/or print copies. Also, the host was given a digital album of the entire event! Having a Snap Station at your event means your guests take pictures at their leisure and everyone leaves the event with memories – whether it be digital or print. How fun is that? My goal in this business is to make this experience easy for the host and fun for the guests. Everyone leaves smiling and can later look back at those memories with friends and family.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Overall, I would say things have gone smoothly, but I try to be overly prepared.
Prior to launching we had to put our business plan together and do a ton of research on the best equipment and the market. This was about a year in the making. The photo booth community overall is extremely supportive and helpful. Even other local companies have helped to answer questions and offer advice. We launched in October 2022 with two photo booths ready to go. We thought it would be a great idea to have more than one booth available. It worked out perfect because our first night in business OhSnap! Station Co. had two events at the exact same time. I tell people that God gave me that challenge to prove that – “we can do this!” It was more nerve-wrecking than anything because we were still learning the equipment and had to jump into it full force. Since then, we have captured memories at birthday parties, school events, holiday parties, weddings, and fundraisers. I’ve had to learn how each of these event types differ and what is needed and expected for each of them. We have also done multiple events with both of our Snap Stations being used at the same venue. Multi-tasking (I’m a mom of 3 so I’m an expert!) and time management are key, especially for those events. Overall, the hiccups and learning curves have all been worth it. Being in a business watching people smile and laugh has been a joy to be part of and I’m so happy we are here to capture that!

Here’s a little bit about what we offer. We offer a Digital Snap Package, Print Snap Package and Glam Snap Package. The packages include a variety of backdrop options (we also offer luxury backdrops as add-ons) and fun props appropriate for that specific event. My favorite part is getting creative with the customized “Tap to Start” screens, photo templates and overlays. Those customizations are used on the digital and print photos as well as boomerangs and gifs. OhSnap! Station Co. wants nothing but a FUN experience for all! We will always do our best to match every detail for our clients – their party vision is the most important thing to us. We don’t want experiences with OhSnap! to feel basic. We want our clients to feel like they are getting unique customized packages from us every time they work with us.
OhSnap! Station Co. is a proud Hispanic woman-owned business, but I would not be able to do this without my husband’s support. Literally. He does most of the heavy lifting and helps with set up and tear down. Sometimes you will find him at an event keeping everyone entertained at the Snap Station. My children have also been my biggest cheerleaders. It is so fun to see my little ones engaged and wanting to help-out. They see the hours I put into customizing each event and try to help with designs. A special shout out goes to our local community. I am so thankful for the support we have received from them – they have trusted us with so many events. Y’all are amazing!
We’d love to hear about how you think about risk-taking.
Risk-taking in any business is so important. Without risk there is no reward. Very cliché but such a true statement! I would consider myself a conservative risk-taker. I will take the risk but usually after a bit of research and overall feeling good about it. Getting involved as a new business in the party entertainment industry can be scary. There are so many amazing established companies and sometimes it’s hard to see where you may fit in. Without jumping in and giving it a shot, I wouldn’t be here loving what I’m doing! We have so many people to thank for that and we are grateful for everyone that has been a part of our business so far. Whether it was the planning, brainstorming, help with our business launch or our amazing clients booking with us – we appreciate all of them for making OhSnap! Station Co. what it is today.
