Inspiring Conversations with Nikki Hiner of Anew Spine & Wellness Center

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nikki Hiner.

Nikki Hiner

Nikki, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I grew up in a small town in Northeast Texas called Pittsburg, a close-knit community known for things like Pittsburg Hot Links, Pilgrim’s Pride Chicken, and the historic Ezekiel Airplane. Growing up there, I saw a lot of hardworking people who pushed through pain just to take care of their families, and that really shaped how I think about health and wellness.

That experience sparked my curiosity about how the body works and heals, which led me to study Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University, and later earn my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Texas Chiropractic College. Along the way, I also spent seven years teaching Physics, which I truly enjoyed because it allowed me to mentor students and share my passion for science.

Eventually, I felt called to focus fully on patient care, which led me to open Anew Spine & Wellness Center. My mission today is simple—help people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their health so they can live their lives fully.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No road is smooth when it comes to success. Like many people building something meaningful, my journey has included several transitions and challenges along the way.

After spending several years teaching Physics and working in education, I took some time away from Texas for a while to simply pause, reflect, and reconnect with what I truly wanted to do next. That time gave me clarity and helped me realize how much I missed working directly with patients and helping people improve their health.

When I returned, I focused on completing my chiropractic board exams and transitioning fully back into patient care. I also worked in other chiropractic offices, which gave me valuable hands-on experience and the opportunity to learn different approaches to patient care and practice management.

Those experiences were important stepping stones and ultimately led me to open Anew Spine & Wellness Center, where I could create the kind of patient-centered environment I had always envisioned.

Looking back, the challenges and changes along the way helped shape who I am today as both a doctor and a business owner, and they strengthened my commitment to helping people move better, feel stronger, and regain confidence in their health.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
Anew Spine & Wellness Center is focused on helping people restore movement, relieve pain, and improve their overall quality of life through personalized chiropractic care. Our approach combines evidence-based chiropractic treatment, rehabilitation, and patient education so patients not only feel better, but understand how to maintain their health long term.

What sets us apart is our patient-centered philosophy. We take the time to listen, understand each person’s goals, and create care plans that support their lifestyle—whether they are recovering from injury, managing chronic discomfort, or simply wanting to stay active and healthy.

What I’m most proud of, brand-wise, is the meaning behind the name Anew. It represents the idea that no matter where someone is in their health journey, there is always an opportunity to move forward with renewed strength, confidence, and hope.

What matters most to you? Why?
What matters most to me is living a life rooted in purpose, faith, and service to others. My relationship with God is central to who I am and guides the way I approach my work, my decisions, and how I treat people. It reminds me to move through life with grace, humility, and compassion.

I also value protecting my peace and the environments I choose to be in. I believe it’s important to surround yourself with positivity, integrity, and people who uplift and encourage growth. When you create space for faith, purpose, and meaningful work, you’re able to show up fully and serve others in a much greater way.
