Today we’d like to introduce you to Oksana Silva.
Hi Oksana, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Oksana Silva, and my journey to founding HOPE PT began 36 years ago when my family and I arrived in America from Russia with nothing more than a few cardboard boxes containing all our belongings. Life as refugees was far from easy, but we were blessed by the generosity of a family who welcomed us into their home. Learning a new language and adapting to an unfamiliar culture presented countless challenges, yet those early experiences instilled in me the values of perseverance, resilience, and gratitude. Throughout my life, I’ve been guided by a deep commitment to hard work and a belief that growth often comes from overcoming obstacles. There were times when I struggled and even lost hope, but faith and determination kept me moving forward. Each challenge became an opportunity to learn, to evolve, and to redefine what was possible.
From those humble beginnings, I am proud to now be the owner of HOPE PT — a pelvic health company built on compassion, education, and empowerment. My story is one of transformation: from arriving in a new country with nothing to building a business that helps others restore their health, confidence, and quality of life. At its core, HOPE PT represents the values that shaped my journey — hard work, resilience, and the unwavering belief that there is always hope.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road has been anything but smooth. I am the first and only member of my family to attend college, and that journey was filled with challenges. When I first heard about college in high school, I had no idea how I would afford it. Through determination and sacrifice, I worked five jobs while taking 17 to 19 credits each semester and ultimately graduated with a degree in Chemistry. My path didn’t end there. I taught science by day, attended community college classes at night, and waitressed on weekends to continue pursuing my education. That relentless drive eventually led me to earn my Doctorate in Physical Therapy, and I have since continued to expand my expertise through advanced training and additional credentials.
My passion for physical therapy began with my love for athletics and my own experiences with injury, which gave me a deep understanding of the body’s ability to recover. My journey into pelvic health came later and was shaped by personal experience — one that often felt isolating and filled with uncertainty. Through that experience, I discovered my purpose: to help others navigate similar challenges and to restore not just physical well-being, but confidence and hope.
I firmly believe that while some conditions may be common, they are not necessarily normal. The human body is beautifully and wonderfully made, and with the right care, education, and support, it has an incredible capacity to heal. That belief continues to guide my work and the mission of HOPE PT every day.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
HOPE PT, which stands for Holistic Ortho & Pelvic Excellence Physical Therapy, is a home-based and virtual care company dedicated to helping women achieve long-lasting relief and empowerment through personalized, one-on-one treatment. Our mission is to bring exceptional pelvic and orthopedic physical therapy directly to patients — in the comfort of their own homes — while addressing not just symptoms, but the root causes of dysfunction. At HOPE PT, we specialize in individualized care plans that look at the body as a whole. The pelvic floor is central to everything — posture, movement, and daily function — and can be influenced by many factors, from back pain to jaw tension (TMD). That’s why our evaluations are comprehensive and holistic, ensuring that no underlying contributor goes unnoticed. Every session is one-on-one, and patients work with the same therapist throughout their care to foster trust, continuity, and measurable progress.
What truly sets HOPE PT apart is our combination of deep clinical expertise and compassionate, patient-centered care. With over a decade of experience in physical therapy, I bring a unique perspective that allows me to identify the root causes of pain and dysfunction, not just manage the symptoms. Our patients are active participants in their healing — we listen, collaborate, and celebrate every milestone together.
Brand-wise, I’m most proud of the trust we’ve built with our patients and the life-changing results we see every day. HOPE PT isn’t just about recovery; it’s about restoring confidence, dignity, and quality of life.
At its core, HOPE PT was founded on the belief that true healing is possible — that with the right knowledge, care, and compassion, women can reclaim their strength, confidence, and quality of life. With over a decade of experience as a physical therapist, I’ve dedicated my career to understanding the body in a holistic way. My advanced training — including a Manual Therapy Certification (MTC) through Evidence in Motion, Board Certification in Orthopedics (OCS) through the American Physical Therapy Association, Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) certification, Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification, and McKenzie Institute credentialing in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (Cert. MDT) — allows me to integrate the latest evidence-based techniques with a personalized, whole-body approach.
Through HOPE PT, my mission is not only to deliver exceptional care, but to create a space where women feel truly seen, supported, and empowered in their healing journey. Because recovery isn’t just about physical restoration — it’s about rediscovering hope, confidence, and the power within to thrive.
