Inspiring Conversations with Porsha Pruitt of Xscape with P Travel

Today we’d like to introduce you to Porsha Pruitt.

Porsha Pruitt

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Born and raised in Houston, TX. Graduate of Willowridge Sr. High in Fort Bend ISD c/o 1988. Obtained my associates in arts from Houston Community College in 2022. I am currently in pursuit of my Bachelor’s in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University. I am what some may call a serial entrepreneur. I will always try something to have additional income. I am a product of a self-employed family, so rightfully so, I will always look to branch further into entrepreneurship. I do have a full-time day-to-day job with an HR Solutions company locally as a Benefits Analyst; however, my passion is in my business of choice which is the Travel Industry. I love exploration of travel. I have always had the want-to-go spirit, and now I have a business that will allow me to do just that, whether I am creating a trip for someone to a faraway land that I am yet to visit or I am whisking away somewhere myself. I failed to mention the reason I am known as the ‘Bougie Travel Boss’; I am a travel advisor that travels to enjoy the finer things in life, I can be ordinary at home but away from home I deserve the best. I live for the butler experience, for the private chef, the private jet and the private driver. Those are things that you only dream of, but when you can make it happen, I feel that you should, and even if I cannot do that on every trip, just the experience of it one time will last a lifetime, and I want my customers to feel the same. I have 5 siblings (sisters). I also have 5 “children” technically they are Godchildren, but I have been an active “momma” to them since birth and from those 5 I have 2 YaYa babies. I am also a PUPmom to 2 and a PUPster to 1. I am a member of Association of Black Travel Professionals, Worldwide Women’s Association, Black in HR member, active board member for Texas Center for the Missing and Delta Psi Rho Sorority Incorporated. I am a BIG sis with Big Brothers/Big Sisters. Lastly, I am the reigning Ms. Exquisite Full-Figured U.S.A-Texas 2023 Queen. I love life, and I love enjoying it because you only get one. I failed to mention along with providing travel services where I create and book travel, I am blessed to be a blessing to others by sharing the greatest opportunity ever for them to become travel business owners and gain the 3 freedoms that everyone longs for-personal, time and financial.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been easy getting here. I had to overcome being a private person only opening up to family and friends to now encouraging others which includes strangers to trust me to do business with. I have gained confidence in what I do and how to relay my abilities and knowledge to those who want to travel to places they have not experienced before and even if they have been to the same location give them new reasons to return. My biggest challenge would be not having enough time in the day to do everything I need to do and everything I want to do. I look forward to the day that I can do all that is needed and wanted in life.

We’ve been impressed with Xscape with P Travel, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Xscape with P Travel is a travel experience like none other. I dedicate my time to creating extraordinary and uncommon experiences for every client. Whether it’s that cruise that they have longed to take or perhaps they want to visit the uncharted territories of an African safari or lay in the brisk air of the tropical beaches of Jamaica, I make it a trip worth their wilds. I absolutely love to travel and think that my purpose in life is to help others create that luxury travel experience that they live for. In the travel circles, I am known as the “Bougie Travel Boss” because I create my client’s trips the way that I would want my trips created–Bougie style. Life of luxury. You are on vacation, and it should feel like a vacation. You should have that private driver, experience that private chef, live in the moment of that private Butler service while you lounge on that yacht. You only live once. Live it up!

I service the traveler that wants it all and I work with every budget. I specialize in group travel so families, organizations, companies, friends, and all can enjoy their travels as one. I also specialize in group cruises, so whether it is ocean cruise ships like Carnival, Royal Caribbean, or Virgin Voyages, I will create the best one you have ever experienced. Even river cruises like Ama Waterways, Scenic, and Emerald Cruises, which are smaller vessels but definitely carry that luxury feel.

I am always honored and blessed when someone asks me to assist them with their vacation plans. I take their visions and make them a reality. I tell my clients all I need from them is a travel consultation, a couple of forms and their payment and let me take care of the rest I promise it will be the absolute best!

Right now, it is definitely time to book those Spring and Summer trips as well as get ahead and book those holiday trips. I am booking some trips into 2026, so it is never too early to get started on your dream. Just reach out to Xscape with P Travel, we will be your best friend from your initial phone call until you return home and get ready to go again!

Are there any books, apps, podcasts, or blogs that help you do your best?
I am an avid reader, and I am thankful for those that have instilled in me the need to self-develop. Some of my favorite books are Winning by Tim Glover, Becoming by Michelle Obama, how to Win Friends and influence people by Dale Carnegie, and You Owe You by Eric Thomas. My favorite pastime books would be anything by Reshonda Tate Billingsley and Steven King. Of course, anything I can find related to travel I will pick up and it is an inspiration to me and my business.
