Hi Rosmery, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in the beauty and wellness industry with no previous experience in aesthetics, but with a strong passion for helping others feel confident, heal properly, and improve their lives. Over time, through continuous education, hands-on practice, research, and real client experience, I built what is now Beauty Body & Care in Houston, Texas.
My background is actually in Criminal Justice and Government from Sam Houston State University, which taught me discipline, investigation, structure, and attention to detail. I eventually applied those same skills into aesthetics and post-operative recovery, allowing me to approach treatments in a more analytical and personalized way.
Today, I specialize in body sculpting, wood therapy, lymphatic drainage, post-operative care, and aesthetic wellness. I’ve worked with many post-op clients helping them recover safely after surgery while also educating them on the importance of proper recovery techniques, fibrosis prevention, inflammation management, and customized recovery protocols.
What makes my journey special is that I didn’t stop at just offering services — I also became passionate about teaching and mentoring other women who want to enter the beauty industry and create financial independence for themselves. Over the years, I’ve trained and guided many students through my classes and mentorship programs.
My business, Beauty Body & Care, has grown through consistency, education, client trust, and social media. We now have 5-star Google reviews, clients from different cities, and a strong online presence. I also continue expanding into digital business solutions, education, and international opportunities, including medical tourism and training collaborations abroad.
One of the biggest things that shaped my story was understanding that beauty is not only about appearance — it’s also about confidence, healing, empowerment, and helping people feel better physically and emotionally.
Everything I’ve built has come from resilience, long hours, learning through experience, and truly caring about my clients and students.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it definitely has not been a smooth road. Like many entrepreneurs, especially women building a business from the ground up, I faced financial challenges, self-doubt, burnout, and the pressure of balancing personal life with business responsibilities.
One of the biggest challenges was entering an industry where I initially had no experience. I had to spend countless hours learning, researching, practicing, investing into education, and building credibility from scratch. Social media also created pressure because in the beauty industry people often only see the “highlight reel” and not the long hours, sacrifices, and emotional stress behind the scenes.
Another challenge was building trust in an industry where many clients have had bad experiences or poor post-operative care. I had to work hard to educate clients, prove my professionalism, and show that recovery is not just about aesthetics but also about proper care, knowledge, and safety.
Managing growth has also been challenging. As my business expanded, I had to learn marketing, branding, customer service, digital systems, financing options, content creation, and team management all at once. There were moments where I felt overwhelmed trying to wear so many hats at the same time.
I’ve also faced personal obstacles while continuing to grow my business, including navigating motherhood, recovery from my own surgery experiences, and maintaining consistency even during difficult periods in life.
However, every obstacle taught me something valuable. The struggles helped me become more resilient, more strategic, and more compassionate toward my clients and students. They also pushed me to continuously evolve, improve my systems, and create better opportunities not only for myself, but for the women I mentor and educate through my business.

Beauty Body & Care is a wellness and aesthetics business based in Houston, Texas specializing in body sculpting, post-operative recovery, lymphatic drainage, wood therapy, non-invasive body contouring, and aesthetic wellness education. Our mission is not only to help clients look better physically, but also to help them feel confident, supported, and properly cared for throughout their recovery and wellness journey.

We focus heavily on proper recovery protocols, inflammation management, fibrosis prevention, body contouring strategies, and customized treatments based on each person’s stage of healing and individual goals. Part of my long-term mission includes helping clients traveling abroad for cosmetic surgery, particularly in countries like Turkey, by providing guidance, recovery education, post-care support, and recovery planning before and after surgery. Having personally experienced surgery abroad myself, I understand both the physical and emotional side of recovery and the importance of having proper support throughout the process.
Beauty Body & Care is also growing internationally through advanced training and education programs. I have plans to bring body sculpting and wellness education to international markets such as the United Arab Emirates, where I aim to provide specialized master classes and professional training focused on wood therapy, body contouring, post-operative care, and advanced recovery techniques.
Another major part of my business is education and mentorship. Through Beauty Body & Care, I teach and mentor aspiring beauty professionals who want to grow within the aesthetics industry. I’m passionate about helping other women create opportunities for themselves and build confidence through education and entrepreneurship.

Something surprising that many people may not know about me is that my background is actually in Criminal Justice and Government, not aesthetics. Most people assume I’ve always been in the beauty industry, but my journey into wellness and body contouring came from a completely different path. I graduated from Sam Houston State University while being 38 weeks pregnant, which was one of the biggest personal accomplishments of my life and taught me resilience, discipline, and perseverance.
Another thing people may not realize is how deeply research-oriented I am. Behind the scenes, I spend a lot of time studying recovery protocols, body anatomy, inflammation, fibrosis management, and international trends in aesthetics and wellness. I genuinely love learning and continuously improving my techniques and knowledge so I can provide better results and education to both my clients and students.
People are also often surprised to learn that I personally experienced cosmetic surgery recovery abroad in Turkey. That experience gave me a completely different level of empathy and understanding for my post-operative clients because I experienced firsthand the emotional, physical, and mental challenges that come with recovery. It also inspired my vision for international post-operative support and medical tourism assistance.
Another surprising part of my journey is that I’m naturally more introverted than people expect. Even though I work in a very social industry and have built a strong online presence, much of what I’ve built came from consistency, discipline, and passion rather than being naturally outgoing.
At the end of the day, I think what surprises people most is that my business is about much more than beauty. For me, it’s about education, empowerment, healing, confidence, and helping people transform not only physically, but emotionally and professionally as well.
