Royce, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Ten years ago, my journey in the real estate sector commenced when I assumed the Sales & Marketing Coordinator role for a homebuilder. Initially undertaken as a means of post-college sustenance, this position unexpectedly evolved into a passion-driven career pursuit. Immersed in the nuances of the industry, particularly within new construction homes, model merchandising, and community establishment processes, my affinity for real estate blossomed.
Subsequently, I transitioned to a pivotal role as Senior Marketing Manager with a developer, overseeing strategic marketing initiatives and budgetary allocations across four master-planned communities spanning Houston, Dallas, Austin, and Nashville. This period not only deepened my appreciation for the industry but also spurred me to refine my competencies, culminating in my accreditation as a Realtor under the banner of “Royce The Realtor.” It became important for me to assist others with their dreams of owning a home.
I have been on both the builder and developer side, and this experience allowed me to help clients make the best real estate decisions. Since becoming an agent nearly 5 years ago, I’ve transitioned to a larger private developer working as a Marketing Director leading the efforts of over 7 master planned communities across the Greater Houston area. I also serve on the Greater Houston Builder’s Association (GHBA) as the Associate VP of the Sales & Marketing Council. My journey has been unique, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity that real estate has afforded me.
It became imperative for me to help others realize their aspirations of homeownership. Having traversed roles within the builder and developer spheres, this comprehensive experience equips me to guide clients toward optimal real estate decisions. Since embarking on my journey as an agent nearly five years ago, I have transitioned to a prominent private developer, assuming the role of Marketing Director. In this capacity, I spearhead initiatives across seven master-planned communities within the Greater Houston area.
Additionally, I am honored to serve as the Associate Vice President of the Sales & Marketing Council for the Greater Houston Builder’s Association (GHBA). Reflecting on my distinctive trajectory, I am profoundly grateful for the myriad opportunities afforded me within real estate.

Regrettably, the representation of individuals like myself in leadership positions remains limited, underscoring the importance of setting a precedent through my leadership. Moreover, the intrinsic satisfaction derived from aiding first-time homebuyers in navigating the complexities of the real estate market has been profoundly rewarding.

As a real estate agent, I consider adaptability the most crucial characteristic for my success. The industry is constantly changing, with shifts in market trends, regulations, and client preferences. Being able to adapt quickly and effectively is essential to thriving in this dynamic environment.
It means staying informed about the latest developments, embracing new technologies, and customizing my approach to meet the unique needs of each client. Strong communication skills and a well-established network within the industry are also vital for overcoming challenges and seizing opportunities.
