Hi Sage, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
God gifts people with visions.
As far back as I can remember, as a young boy I’ve been fascinated with tall skyscrapers, city developments and long bridges that are built over bodies of water. Throughout attending public school, I always knew that I would end up building things on a massive scale. I felt as if I had a gift with a clear vision to pursue a lifetime of construction and development work but with a purpose.
Innovation has always been the coolest thing to think about. Someone inventing something and bringing it to the marketplace to enhance the lives of others. Innovation is the reason the world continues to advance in all industries. This means that we are ONE idea away from the cure to cancer or technology that can perform unimaginable things, space travel, anything!
Knowing this, I’ve believed my entire life that there are people in poverty stricken areas that may have discovered innovation or technology that can help the rest of the world. Maybe these people have ideas and dreams but lack the resources and/or a place to work.
My vision is to create those opportunities for those people.
As a 19 year old, I was able to land a job with a homebuilder and ventured off to start my own remodeling company. This has since scaled upward and now, 25 years old continuing to build and take visions then turn them to a reality.
Currently we are in the custom pool design, residential and commercial foundation and roadways development business. We have been able to offer General Contractors and Customers exclusive products in the pool market. We are the only certified Bio Design Pool contractor in the Houston/Woodlands/Conroe market. These are custom pools that require no concrete.
We are proud to give back to our community as it has done so much for us! Our team Hugo Parra, Austin Baker, Jeffrey Spears, Joe Austin, Ricardo Reynoso and all of our trusted foremen/finishers continue to out perform, out deliver and do such a great job with the work we provide. I will forever be grateful for my team.
We are so blessed and wake up everyday ready to serve with gratitude.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
If the road was smooth, the journey wouldn’t be worth it. It’s the ups and downs that you learn from and it makes you a better business owner, a better friend, husband, father (I don’t have kids…yet.)

We are a Concrete Company that specializes in everything concrete. We have capacity to develop and pour foundations for all Commercial, Multifamily and Residential projects. We have a custom pool division as well where we focus on building Residental or Commercial customers their dream pool and backyard. We are the ONLY exclusive Bio Design Pool contractor in the Houston/Woodlands/Conroe marketplace. Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
As CEO, I have 7 different mentors that I stay in close contact with. There are 3 of those 7 that are pastors. The other 4 are business owners that have scaled and been very successful in building a 100M+ company.
My advice on finding a mentor would be to hunt them down. Find a company you like, write them letters, send them emails, you have to become a shark.
These guys have so much knowledge, it’s so helpful and vital to have mentors while you’re creating your own path.
They will help you think about decisions both morally and in business. Moral advice and business advice go hand in hand to running a solid business.
