Today we’d like to introduce you to Shanaé Elbert.

Hi Shanaé , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My journey has been a blend of passion, purpose, and continuous growth. I began over a decade ago in the nonprofit sector, where I gained extensive experience coordinating programs, managing operations, and supporting community initiatives. Over time, I realized that my natural strengths in organization, communication, and leadership could create a greater impact when paired with entrepreneurship.

In 2013, I founded Elbert’s Events, a luxury, concierge-style event planning company dedicated to curating extraordinary weddings, galas, and corporate experiences. As my client base expanded, I recognized a growing need for high-touch, elevated event services in my community, and I positioned Elbert’s Events to meet that demand with elegance and precision.

Building on that success, I launched Efficient Assistance by Elbert’s Events, my executive virtual assistant business. Through this venture, I help entrepreneurs and small businesses streamline their operations, strengthen their systems, and elevate their marketing strategies—allowing them to focus on growth while I handle the structure behind the scenes.

Along the way, I’ve pursued academic studies in psychology and taken on active leadership roles in organizations like the Junior League and the Girl Scouts, experiences that have deepened my skills in collaboration, strategy, and service. Each chapter of my journey has layered new expertise on top of the last—sharpening my ability to lead, build systems, and bring visionary ideas to life.

Today, I bring this full spectrum of experience—strategic thinking, operational excellence, and a passion for meaningful experiences—to everything I do.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Life would not be life without obstacles and challenges along the way. On my podcast, Resilience of the Soul, I share my personal story and the adversities I’ve had to overcome on my journey to becoming a successful entrepreneur.

I’m a proud single mother who has walked through some of life’s toughest moments. I endured a traumatic marriage, and at the age of 22, I became a convicted felon. Those experiences could have defined me negatively—but instead, they became the foundation for my growth, resilience, and purpose.

Today, I’m a passionate mental health advocate, which is what led me to share the raw and unfiltered details of my journey on my podcast. My goal is to inspire others to embrace their truth, rise above their past, and know that their story has power.
