Today we’d like to introduce you to Soledad Duffy.
Hi Soledad, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Since I can remember I’ve always been fascinated by how the human body works—. That curiosity led me to medical school in an Argentina , where I began building a foundation in biomedicine. But it was my own personal journey—specifically the challenge of getting pregnant and staying pregnant—that opened the door to acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine. What started as a search for healing became a deep passion for understanding how our organs, emotions, and lifestyle are deeply connected. I was amazed at how Chinese medicine explained these relationships with such clarity and depth. Today, my practice is a reflection of that integration. I bring together the structure of Western medicine with the wisdom of Eastern traditions, incorporating exercise physiology, nutrition, and emotional wellness to support each person’s unique path to health.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has felt smooth in the sense that this work has always felt organic to me—like something I was meant to do. That said, there have definitely been challenges. Building my own business while also being a healthcare provider requires wearing many hats, and learning to balance both has been a journey in itself. But it’s one that has been deeply gratifying. Honestly, I don’t think smooth roads are all that interesting. I believe growth happens when we step out of comfort. Whenever things start to feel too easy or familiar, I find myself seeking out new challenges—whether it’s learning something different or questioning what I think I know—because that’s how I continue to grow, both for myself and for my patients.
Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Solstice Acupuncture And Wellness?
I specialize in acupuncture with a focus on pain management and emotional wellness. My approach is deeply integrative—I combine the strengths of Western medicine with the wisdom of Eastern traditions. What sets my practice apart is that I don’t engage with the fear-based culture that’s often present in wellness spaces. I’m not here to scare people into restrictive lifestyles or overwhelming routines. As a working mom, I understand the pressure many women already carry. My goal is to offer practical, realistic, and sustainable guidance.
I believe small, consistent changes can lead to profound results. I prioritize foundational pillars of health—movement, nutrition, sleep, and emotional connection. Acupuncture is a powerful tool to support these, but I never want it to feel like a crutch. You won’t hear rigid protocols like “you need to come twice a week for six weeks” in my office. Instead, my patients know they can count on me for honest, grounded advice and treatments that work in harmony with their lives, not against them. What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built—being known as a reference point for smart, balanced wellness support.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
That’s an interesting question, and I’m not sure I have a straightforward answer. I do believe in luck—and I also believe in hard work. In my experience, the best outcomes often happen when the two meet. I think there’s a kind of serendipity that shows up when you’re showing up—working hard, making mistakes, staying curious. It’s like good luck can find you more easily when you’re in motion, not waiting passively. I don’t think we can control luck, but we can create the conditions for it to find us.
