Inspiring Conversations with Stephanie Wong of Lovely Littles Therapy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Wong.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hi, I’m Stephanie! I’m a certified neonatal occupational therapist and internationally board-certified lactation consultant. I’m also a wife to my husband of eight years (we’ve been together since 2009!) and a first-time mom to our curious and very energetic 2½-year-old son.

Since 2018, I’ve been honored to work with babies and their families in the NICU, supporting early development and nurturing the parent-infant bond. My passion for lactation support began with my own experience as a new mom. My son was born with a tongue and lip tie along with body tension that made the start of our breastfeeding journey incredibly challenging. After his release procedure, I leaned into my training in infant bodywork and massage to support his healing — and through that experience, I realized just how critical it is to prepare the body before a release, not just after.

That insight sparked a deeper commitment in me to learn more, and now I’m here to help other families navigate similar challenges with knowledge, confidence, and compassion. Whether you’re preparing for a release, recovering from one, or just trying to make feeding feel more connected and less stressful, I’m here to support you and your baby every step of the way.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Being a first-time mom comes with its challenges, and navigating my son’s tongue and lip tie was definitely one of the hardest parts in the beginning. I took it upon myself to learn everything I could to support our breastfeeding journey and make it a success. Through that experience — and the hard work of studying to become a certified lactation consultant — I discovered just how rewarding this path could be.

Before having my son, my dream job was working as a neonatal occupational therapist. But after going through my own breastfeeding journey, I now feel called to support other mothers who want to breastfeed. It truly feels like what I’m meant to do.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I started my own private practice to combine my love for working with newborns—especially preemies—with my newfound passion for lactation support. I truly enjoy helping first-time parents with newborn care, including tummy time positioning, skin-to-skin contact, and teaching gentle massage and stretching techniques to support musculoskeletal alignment and sensory development. These are areas I focus on as a certified neonatal occupational therapist and certified neonatal touch and massage therapist. As a lactation consultant, I also work closely with families to improve their baby’s latch and offer guidance on achieving more comfortable and sustainable breastfeeding positions. In addition to working with babies, I also help young kids and adults who have facial palsies regain muscle strength and movement in their face.

Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
I offer in-home concierge services that support both infant development and breastfeeding needs in the Pearland, Sugar Land, and Missouri City areas. I also provide telehealth occupational therapy throughout Texas, as well as virtual lactation support across the United States. I believe in meeting families where they are—right in their homes—to help reduce the stress of packing up and traveling to a clinic with a newborn. With lactation, I partner with The Lactation Network to offer at least 6 visits covered by most insurances!

I also enjoy collaborating with other birth professionals to provide well-rounded care. I’m excited to be co-hosting an upcoming exercise series with a pelvic floor physical therapist, designed to help mothers regain strength in their bodies while also learning safe babywearing techniques and developmental activities, like tummy time, for their babies.

Beyond that, I’m developing a local parent group called Lattes & Littles which includes a lactation cookie baking class and a teether crafting workshop—fun, hands-on ways for parents to connect, learn, and support their baby’s growth.
