Inspiring Conversations with Taylor Osbourne of P. Elyse Boutique

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Osbourne.

Hi Taylor, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
As a little girl, I always had a strong desire for fashion. Whether it be plastic Cinderella heels and a tutu, or denim overalls with a pink-ruffled top, the playground never stood a chance (thanks, Mom). But, like most young women, I started having major insecurities as I got older. Going through many trials and tribulations with my health, my weight has always been a huge hurdle to get over. In turn, causing my confidence to be severely impacted. Walking into stores, I would find things that were stunning but could never find my size. Keeping my faith in God, having my amazingly supportive husband and family, I’ve found to love and adore the strong, beautiful woman that I am! My mission with P. Elyse Boutique, is to give each and every woman of all shapes, sizes, and budgets, multiple options to make them feel beautiful. Being online was fun but I also had a strong desire to meet my customers and get to know each and every one of them! Hence the start of the brick & mortar. It had always been a DREAM to own my own store so the fact that we have a store is surreal.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting the website was a little bit of a struggle because it was something i had never worked with before. But honestly, with the support of my friends and family, I’ve been able to build a great clientele. I actually gave birth to my second baby in May, signed the lease to the storefront in June and started buildout immediately. I wouldn’t say it was a struggle but it was certainly a stressful time, haha.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about P. Elyse Boutique?
We are a lady’s apparel and accessory boutique that has size-inclusive styles that set us apart from other stores. We have something for everyone and every event. Im most proud that im teaching my kids to be body positive and that there will always be something out there for them.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’d say starting a full-blown clothing boutique, online of course, with an 18-month-old,as a stay at home mom, during the height of covid was my first big risk. Then have another baby and building a brick and mortar store. Some might call it crazy, I like to say you’re only as successful as the risks you take.
