Dreambly Me was born from the simple joy of reading storybooks at bedtime with our son, Khoa, when he was just one. We’d spend the evenings hunting for ‘khoalas’ in his books. Every time we spotted one, we’d point and say, ‘Look, it’s you!’ His eyes would light up with joy, and he’d burst into those contagious toddler giggles. Those precious moments sparked an idea.
As a parent, I knew other families shared these magical bedtime routines, and I wanted to make them even more special. That’s how Dreambly Me came to life – blending silky soft bamboo pajamas with stories and characters that kids can recognize and feel connected to. Each piece invites them on their own little adventure, whether they’re exploring enchanted forests or diving into the magical reef.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The biggest challenge was creating something entirely new. There wasn’t a roadmap for blending storytelling with children’s sleepwear.
I spent countless late nights at my desk after Khoa went to bed, sketching ideas and answering my own questions: How do we make pajamas both educational and fun? What stories would capture a child’s imagination? How do we maintain the highest quality for our pajamas? How do we include a matching storybook while keeping prices reasonable for families?
Finding manufacturers who understood our vision was tough. Many couldn’t grasp why we needed such precise detail in our prints or why we needed to try so many different types and thicknesses of fabric. I must have talked to dozens before finding partners who shared our commitment to quality and helped us land on our exact blend of bamboo fabric.
But the most rewarding challenge was balancing education with entertainment. We wanted kids to learn about unique creatures like mandarinfish while having fun and feeling cozy. That sweet spot – where learning feels like play – took months of design iterations to achieve.
