Hi Zeneyda, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Just a mom & daughter who had been searching for affordable, natural, and healthy hair products. One day, I was using another new [expensive] product that didn’t work well in my hair. So, we decided let’s come out with our own!! The very next day, we formed our LLC, looked up manufacturing companies to contact and the rest is history.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As much as we would have loved for this process to be “smooth”, we did have a few kinks on the way. First and foremost, both me and my mom have full-time corporate jobs. So, time is a huge struggle for both of us. With that being said, Money was also a struggle for us in the beginning because we were funding our entire company off of our salaries. We are also both very new to owning a business so the business aspect did not come easy and was a learning process for the both of us.

Kinky Lee Hair Company is an all-natural, vegan-friendly hair care line for Men and Women. We specialize in helping men and women love their natural and healthy hair journeys. Our most popular products are our Moisturizer, Curl Pudding, & Beard Oil. The Moisturizer helps with detangling and frizzing. The Curl Pudding helps with defining the curl without making them crunchy (like mousse or hairspray). Lastly, The Beard oil helps with hair growth. This goes for hair on any part of the body. Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Our entire process has been a risk. We weren’t sure if people would like the product, if it was needed by many, or if this would even get off the ground. Financially, it was a huge risk we took by putting all our money into something we weren’t sure of.
