Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Hadnott.
Synergy Total Holistic Health & Wellness is a fully equipped boutique health and wellness facility offering Pilates Reformer (physiotherapy), nutrition and wellness services.
Started in 2011 by owner, Crystal, who experience a life-changing injury that yields her temporarily paralyzed for 6 weeks. Through Pilates therapy, nutrition and other wellness techniques, she regained her ability to not just walk, but run… run over 100 marathons.
After being a successful professor with an established career in the political arena for 15 years, she found her passion which delivered her purpose.
Crystal is a certified Pilates Instructor with a unique specialization in physical therapy. She is also a certified Nutritionist and renowned Health Coach who has published several scholarly articles. She is also the author of, The Finish Line was Just the Start: A Marathon Runner’s Memoir of Relentlessness, Resilience & Renewal. She is working on three more books: Idleness Kills, Movement Heals, Peace Reveals; Haditudes: Road-Tested Principles for a High-Performance Business & Life; and Behind the Pretty: Women Thriving Beyond their Diagnosis.
Crystal operates her business based on a quote by Joseph Pilates, “change happens with movement and movement heals.”
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
In my life, the trials and trails that brought and guided me through this amazing journey not only as a marathon runner but as a person sharing space in this world. Life for me has not been a crystal stair nor has my path been a straight line. There have been twists and turns with a whole lot of setbacks. I have had to hit reverse, cruise in neutral and sometimes just sit in the park. There have been crooked roads and winding pathways with many stop signs, caution lights, speed bumps, GPS navigation failures, flat tires, manholes, detours, wrong turns, dead ends, U-turns, construction, collisions and traffic pile-ups along this route that ultimately lead to an amazingly beautiful destination.
As my memoir details, I have been through potentially fatal health conditions (twice), loss movement from hip to foot on my left side, experienced grief (of my mother, my child, my business and my body). BUT… if it “hadnott” been for those experiences, I would not have been blessed to be in the spaces I have been in during my life. My transgressions have ALWAYS led to a beautiful testimony of triumphs.
My advice… no matter how bad you want to get fall flat on your face and collapse, keep going right foot in front of the left. Before you know it, you look up and the finish line is within sight. Go as long as you can, then take another step.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Crystal Hadnott (Synergy Total Holistic Health & Wellness) – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Individually, Crystal Hadnott, is a brand within herself (www.CrystalHadnott.com)… The athlete. The author. The advocate.
As an athlete, among her many accomplishments since taking her fate in her own hands, Crystal Hadnott has run over 100 full and half marathons since October 2006 and on several different occasions, she has also run a 202-mile relay race. In addition, she is known to bike in the 150 miles in the MS-150 in support of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Her athleticism extends from the pavement. She is known to be a motivational speaker from classrooms to boardrooms to auditoriums to podcasts to TV to radio along being contributing writer to blogs, newspapers and magazines.
As the author and an authority on fitness and strategic partnerships, she is an accomplished author of “The Finish Line was Just the Start.” The highly anticipated “Behind the Pretty” along with “Haditudes: Road-Tested Principles for a High-Performance Business & Life” are set to release in 2018. In addition, she is working on an additional book, “Idleness Kills, Movement Heals, Peace Reveals”.
As the advocate of health and fitness, she founded “Pavement Princess”, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization designed to combat childhood obesity geared to young girls between the ages of 7-13 years old. When she is not dedicating her resources to her non-profit organization, she supports various philanthropic activities across the world. In addition, she has supported several local and national non-profit organizations as a spokesperson and philanthropist.
Lastly, as the company and services its offered, Synergy Total Holistic Health & Wellness is an extension of the Crystal Hadnott brand where she gets to support individuals provide them hope and healing through movement.
What sets me apart is that I can “empathize” with my clientele and not simply “sympathize”. I have literally “walked” their walk.
Are there any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve benefited from using?
