Life and Work with Kaneisha Lynn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaneisha Lynn.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Kaneisha. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Fresh out of high school, with no certainty of what my future held, in July of 2009, I was hired at a well known call center, NCO, located in Humble, TX. Although. NCO was my first full time job and I had no idea what to expect. One thing that I did know was that it would pay me more than minimum wage. That is when I fell in love with customer service. Years later, while attending Stephen F. Austin State University, in Nacogdoches, TX, I found myself at another call center, specializing in what I love, customer service. When it was time to move back home, I applied for several jobs in different fields and found myself back in the customer service field at Alight, formerly known as Aon Hewitt. I struggled with “who and what I wanted to be” in life. I witnessed my friends obtain degrees in nursing, mass communication, psychology, social work, and culinary arts. Meanwhile, there I was feeling stagnant, still in the customer service field. My last two years employed with Alight, I applied for many positions in hopes of growing and establishing a prestigious reputation in the company. However, it did not work out that way. I worked over time, I did what was required of me, and more. To no avail, I could not promote out of my department. During those years, I grew anxious, overwhelmed, and felt defeated. In the back of my mind, I knew I had to do something and fast. I had always imagined myself running my own customer service related business, specifically, a call center. Call center agents are truly the growth of companies, however, they do not get enough credit for the patience, common sense, communication skills, and other skills that are detrimental to running a successful call center. On May 9, 2018, I took a leap of faith, quit my job, and started KL Virtual Solutions. Of course, I can’t hire my own agents as of now, but in due time.

Has it been a smooth road?
My journey has had a few bumps in the road but with my faith, prayers, sacrifices, and support system, I have managed to get my business up and running. I am determined to keep an open mind, embrace feedback, and accept helping hands when extended. I encourage any and all women to believe in themselves. If you fall, get back and try again. Keep an open mind and listen. Sometimes speaking does more harm than listening. Understand that your first idea may not be successful but if you are open minded, you will find a successful way.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with KL Virtual Solutions – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
KL Virtual Solutions specializes in bridging the gap between businesses, especially online and or small businesses, and consumers by offering a number of services intended to enhance their brand, maintain it, and grow it. Those services include; account management, customer service, customer relationship management, data entry, document creation, virtual assistant, and website developing. My availability is seven days week, my prices are reasonable, and this is my passion. When I am on the move, I can work from my iPhone and iPad at any given time. Ensuring that my clients and consumers can reach me when needed.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
There is no such thing as a day off. You have to work day and night to get to where you want to be. If you stay true your idea and plan, everything else will fall into place. I was told by another small business owner to talk to God and be specific with my needs and wants. However, I must be obedient and here I am. I launched on 6/1/2018 and have six clients. Four of those clients is ongoing and has hired me as a virtual assistant or for social media engagement.

Pricing:

  • Social Media Engager: 7 days a week $75 weekly ( 2 accounts minimum)
  • Virtual Assistant: prices start at $125 weekly compared to paying a minimum of $480 week for an assistant
  • Website Developer: Prices start at $300 with a 3-page minimum, payment plans can be arranged
