Today we’d like to introduce you to Khrystle Riley.
Khrystle, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story is a true testimony of having faith in my journey! At a very young age I always felt destined for something bigger than myself. It hasn’t been an easy ride and I’ve encountered many adversities along the way. However the dream I had as a kid to own a business has finally come to pass, and my journey has come full circle!
In 2015, I moved to Seattle, WA to work alongside my brother and help him restructure his Web Development Firm. It was a hard reset on my life and where I was going, I was sick and tired of previously working for companies that didn’t care about me, and didn’t pay me my worth! Eventually I worked my way to becoming the Operations Manager, and becoming an integral part of the business. I learned a great deal from rubbing shoulders with my brother who was an Entrepreneur, and also a great deal about myself as a leader. One of the main things that I learned about myself was how much I enjoyed helping others with their businesses, and being part of their success stories! My position with his company lasted until December 2019, and that’s when I set out on the journey to pave my own path!
I was approached in Feb 2020 by my best friend of 18 years, with the idea of combining our talents, knowledge, and training that we had gained over the years in various lead roles into a Consulting Firm. Crystal Jade Consulting was created, and our mission is to help other Businesses/Entrepreneurs with their branding, marketing goals, and business knowledge. We spent so many years working for companies and organizations, and making them money and helping build their dreams! We realized that we had all the tools and knowledge to set out and build our own dreams, all while helping others do the same. We are motivated by helping other aspiring Entrepreneurs, and empowering others to gain financial independence.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has never been an easy road, and I still have a lot of work to do! I’ve faced so many struggles when it came to working jobs that wouldn’t pay me my worth, or pay me less than my male counterparts even though I contributed the majority of the work. Most companies and corporations are looking for college-educated people, and I was overlooked because I didn’t have the degree, but I had all the experience with a broad background. My advice to other women would be to stay focused, consistent, and hungry! Put yourself first more, and be a little selfish with your time and energy. Once I did this I was able to get more of my goals accomplished.

Crystal Jade Consulting is a local consulting firm. We specialize in Branding, Marketing, Consulting, Web Development and Management Services. That’s why we take on a more personal approach to help you obtain those goals. Were there people and/or experiences you had in your childhood that you feel laid the foundation for your success?
In hindsight looking back at my childhood, I would say yes, there were things that helped prepare me for the Entrepreneur lifestyle. I was the oldest child of three and raised in a single parent household, and one of my many responsibilities was watching after my younger siblings, and setting a good example for them. My mother was a single Mexican-American mother, hard work, and work ethic was something I grew up around my whole life. I remember my mother would take us to work on occasions, and I got to be her little helper, and see firsthand how hard she worked to give us what we needed. Aside from that I was responsible for all the household chores, and the cooking for my younger siblings. So from a very young age I had a lot of responsibilities, and leadership qualities that helped build my foundation, and shaped me into the woman I am today!
