Hi Amanda , please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi there! My name is Amanda, and I’m the proud owner of TexasGlow Spray Tanning.
The inspiration behind starting TexasGlow comes from my personal experience with a UV allergy, which prevented me from tanning naturally. I’ve always loved the boost of confidence that a beautiful tan gave me—it made me feel like I could take on the world. However, because of my skin condition, I never had access to that feeling in a safe, healthy way.
As someone who has always been passionate about self-care and empowering women, I wanted to offer a solution that would allow others to experience that same confidence, without the risks of harmful UV rays. Spray tanning is a way to enhance natural beauty, boost self-esteem, and create a sense of empowerment—all while prioritizing health.
What truly drives me is knowing that I’m helping women feel their best in their own skin. I also credit my entrepreneurial spirit to my wonderful parents, both of whom started their own businesses and paved the way for me to do the same. Their example showed me the power of pursuing your passion and making a meaningful impact on others.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
One of the biggest obstacles I faced when starting TexasGlow was simply getting started. As a new business owner, it can be intimidating to put yourself out there—after all, your name, face, and reputation are tied to your brand. I was initially hesitant, but I quickly realized that the key to overcoming this fear was to just take the leap and stay consistent.
By showing up, staying true to my vision, and continuously working to improve, I’ve been able to build meaningful relationships with so many amazing women who have now become not just clients, but friends. At the end of the day, I wanted to create something of my own—something that would empower others, and through consistency and perseverance, I’ve been able to do just that.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
While TexasGlow is my passion and a project I am deeply committed to, I also work full-time as an Assistant Property Manager. With 10 years of experience in property management and nearly 7 years with my current company, I’ve been fortunate to build a rewarding career in this field.
Balancing both roles isn’t always easy, but it’s incredibly fulfilling. Managing TexasGlow alongside my full-time job has taught me valuable time management skills and reinforced my determination. I’m incredibly proud of the progress I’ve made with TexasGlow, and staying true to my vision keeps me focused on my goal of transitioning to working with TexasGlow full-time in the near future.
The journey may be challenging at times, but the hard work and consistency are already paying off, and I’m excited about what’s to come!
What sets me apart from others is my innate ability to self-start and stay highly motivated. I’m deeply driven by success, and I find great satisfaction in the sense of accomplishment that comes from putting in hard work. I take immense pride in knowing that I’ve built and grown TexasGlow through my own efforts, from the ground up. My determination, combined with my passion for what I do, ensures that I’m always striving to improve and deliver the best results for my clients. I believe that this dedication to excellence and my proactive approach are what truly set me apart.
Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I consider myself someone who embraces risk, particularly when it comes to pursuing my passion and long-term goals. Taking the financial leap to start TexasGlow was certainly a major risk, especially knowing that I wouldn’t see an immediate return on investment. It was a challenge, but I understood that growth takes time and patience.
While financial risks can be intimidating, I firmly believe in the value of investing in something you truly believe in. I’m committed to staying consistent, putting in the work, and growing my brand with a focus on long-term success—not just short-term results. For me, risk is part of the process of building something meaningful, and I’m confident that my dedication and persistence will pay off for years to come.
