Life & Work with Amy Cole Bremser of South Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amy Cole Bremser

Hi Amy Cole, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I grew up always with a camera in hand either taking photos of my friends or places I’d go – I have always been the friend with the camera. When I was 17 I began modeling and was always fascinated by the photographers who were taking my photos. I decided then (perhaps a bit naive at the time) that if they could do it, so could I! So from there and through college I began the journey of learning as much as I could about photography.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My journey hasn’t always been easy. There will always be people who will doubt you or have their opinions, things through the industry grow and change with time, nobody ever warns you about how hard owning and operating a business can be, and mistakes WILL be made. But through all the ups and downs it is important to always keep yourself motivated, keep close the people who believe in you and roll with the punches. Failures are never failures if you learn from them.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a photographer who specializes in portraits. From families, graduates, content creators, to small business marketing and development. I am incredibly passionate about what I do and treat each client or project as though it’s the most important one yet. Photography is more than just taking photos, it is also an experience. I pride myself in being able to provide the best quality of both.

My style is very bight, bold, colorful and full of golden hour sun beams. I love capturing true to life images and highlighting people and their environment in the most authentic way possible.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My biggest cheerleaders and mentors (both now very dear friends of mine) that deserve recognition are Jenny King & Vinson Valdez. Both of these photographers are not only my biggest supporters, inspiration and mentors, but are blessings in my life as well.
