Life & Work with Avery Jones of Magnolia

Today we’d like to introduce you to Avery Jones.

Hi Avery, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
After I graduated college in the spring of 2020, I decided to start my spray tanning business in the summer of 2020. It was a crazy time to start a business! Right in the middle of COVID. I went for it and my A+ Spray Tans by Avery is still going strong five years later thanks to the Good Lord and my amazing clients.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
On top of running A+ Spray Tans By Avery, I teach 1st grade in Magnolia ISD. I visit my clients almost everyday after work, and it’s exhausting. Managing clients while also teaching 1st grade takes up a ton of my time, but I love it! It has impacted my relationships in a way. I stay so busy that my social life sometime sits on the back burner. But, luckily my friends and family are very understanding.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I run a mobile spray tanning business. I’m known for flawless, natural looking spray tans & excellent customer service. I’m most proud of all the friendships that I’ve made from doing spray tans. I believe that my attentive service and genial personality makes others comfortable and keeps them coming back. I love sharing my testimony and giving glory to God for everything He has done for me in this business.

Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I follow lots of other spray tanning artist on social media. I love looking at what others are doing and finding inspiration!
