Life & Work with Brandi Reid of Posh Little Designs

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandi Reid.

Brandi, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story with Posh Little Designs™ began in 2012. It started as a way to share my passion for baking and entertaining, centered around my two young daughters and their birthday celebrations. While they were my initial inspiration, the evolution of the brand was heavily shaped by my parents. I credit my late father’s passion for food and photography, and my mother’s talent as a gifted home cook, baker, and artist.

From the very beginning, sugar cookies with royal icing and French macarons have been our core. Because I have always viewed baking and creating as an art form, this philosophy allowed Posh Little Designs™ to grow into a multi-faceted brand. Today, we develop custom baking tools, distinct recipes, curated lifestyle content, and magazine-worthy photography, using creativity and technique as our main process.

This approach has led to the creation of many original trends and custom designs. In 2015, we introduced unique cookie cutter shapes, including the industry’s first-to-market stainless French macaron and pastry cart cutters. In 2018, we expanded to our signature Jumbo 10″ cookie cutters, featuring our original Unicorn, Christmas Tree, and Pastry Cart designs.

We also reinvented our approach to French macarons, by adapting my royal icing experience for macaron decoration, and later pioneering a unique, dedicated series of dessert-inspired macaron recipes. Some of our most popular, widely trending concepts include our Pumpkin Pie, Hostess Cake, Jelly Donut, Dipped Crème Brûlée, and Banana Pudding macarons. You can see this same creative twist in our signature sugar cookie recipes, ranging from Pumpkin Spice and Cherry Chip, to Peanut Butter and Chocolate.

Reaching 2026 marks a rewarding 14-year journey as Posh Little Designs™ remains focused on inspiring others to elevate the every day through creativity and technique, while also expanding our product lines, developing new recipes, and continuing to lead the trend.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has definitely not been smooth. Finding my footing as a biracial creator back in the early 2010s was incredibly tricky. The path was shaped differently for me, resources and connections were scarce, and in the beginning, it often felt like publishing into a void.

Because the industry was slower to recognize diverse creators back then, my authority was sometimes overlooked, which unfortunately made it easier for others to replicate my concepts, recipes, and product designs without credit.

Even today, despite having a wealth of knowledge and 14 years of industry wisdom, creators with longevity are sometimes mis-categorized by modern metrics or follower counts, but that has never been enough to slow me down. My passion for creating stems far beyond numbers, as it is my North Star.

I was also fortunate to launch Posh Little Designs™ when social media was in its beginning stages. That history gives me a unique perspective because I have watched the entire digital landscape shift.

Navigating those early challenges has also taught me how to adapt, how to protect my work, and how to remain resilient along the way which has only proven that my creativity is infinite.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
As the Founder of Posh Little Designs™, I share my passion for food, baking, entertaining and design, through creative recipe development, gatherings with custom decor, professional photography and custom products.

I specialize in the unique details that elevate the ordinary by utilizing creativity and technique as my process.

I’m most known for my macaron recipes, parties, sugar cookies and photography, and I am most proud of the creativity that has allowed me to develop such a beautiful and longstanding niche and brand.

What sets me apart is my vision and my passion. I think outside of the box and use that perspective as the driving force behind all that I create.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up in a household with two creative parents was such a gift and makes it impossible to just pick one memory. The sounds of my father’s drums playing to a vintage jazz tune echo in my heart, as does the Discovery food channel always playing in the background. The excess of film and negatives to develop at King Frog, and the impromptu photoshoots with studio lighting in the basement. The aroma of my mother’s freshly baked cherry pies on July 4th, the windows she painted with festive art during Christmas, and our Sunday’s around the table with homemade cornbread and fried chicken are also significant. And I’ll never forget going to my Aunt’s during the holidays each year to decorate sugar cookies with a thick layer of buttercream and sprinkles. All of these experiences have shaped me to be the creator and human I am today.
